External influence?
Is it not party politics that has been the issue?

I love the fact that the meeting came immediately after most of them boycotted the presidents visit to Ondo state for APC's rally. This is a clear message that the south west remains a united political front and any attempt to divide the region will fail woefully. All internal betrayals should better beware.
only two apc sw governor boycotted it plz.

Tinubi's major grouse with Buhari is that the President has refused to let Tinubu use the name of the President to perpetuate evil and fraud. Tinubu wanted to use his influence in the APC to illegally impose James Faleke in Kogi state. The President instead insisted that the rule of law must follow. Tinubu wanted to use the Presidents name to cancel the Primaries in Ondo because his preferred choice did not emerge. The president insisted that the rile of law must follow. I can't understand what the hell else Tinubu wants from the President.
All his loyalists and supporters have been given major appointments in Abuja. From Osinbajo to Fowler, Fayemi, Ben Akabueze, Laolu Akande, Sunday Dare et al. He has also been given Ambassadorial slots.
Except Tinubu is an evil and greedy person, he should respect himself and start showing some courtesy and respect to the President. He should stop behaving like a spoilt brat.

I wish I could give up to a million likes. Theirs is a sign of advanced democracy. I always state this, if all tribes were asked to go today, yoruba would adjust in no time because of their unique political ideologies which is lacking in other tribes. Anywhere gov okorocha talks in the south-east, a lot would attack him, including governors from the opposition parties, instead of buying his ideas of reviving their region . South-south is even worse off. Even their governors from same party are always at loggerheads with one another. North is a bit fair but they are still divided along the party lines. I love this!

In the past Fayose would have boycotted such meeting but Fayose knows he needs serious political backing as 2019 approaches and he has no where else to run to. His N1.2 billion poultry case was put on hold because he was somehow (with the help of Dasuki billions) able to become governor again and claim immunity. His house in Ibadan, which was seized during the Poultry scam investigation by the EFCC is still under forfeiture by the EFCC. Then his ONSA looting case is still on. The houses he asked Ekiti state contractors to buy for him in exchange for contracts have been seized by the EFCC. His accounts have been frozen. The house he bought in Abuja with ONSA money and in his sisters name is also under EFCC forfeiture. He has absolutely nowhere to run to or hide after 2018. So people should understand why he's making all the noise he's making now. He knows 2018 is near and he needs to make alliances to prevent his imminent arrest come 2018.

See unintelligence written all over you. South-West Integration "communion" is well over 5years old. That time Fayose was even on the sidelines. You think this meeting is in reaction to your suppose "marginalisation". Unfortunately some of you cannot to see progression, even if it is used to slap you.

One of PMB's greatest undoing was involving himself in the affairs of the Southwest. I'm sure he did it for "his" people. But, he should have considered his people's people.

The binding force of politicians is greed. He missed that part when he thought that Tinubu will let go of the plate easily.

Never try to divide a house that once united for you. For all his stupidity, Fayose knows better than to go against the wishes and interest of the Yoruba nation. And for now, that rallying point is Tinubu.

Regardless whether his motives are fueled by greed or otherwise, a move against him will be seen as a move against the Yoruba nation. Why? Because he's the kingmaker that made most of their contemporary leaders.

Someone may wonder how him being a kingmaker furthers the interest of his people. The response is that he installed performance-proven personalities. That's an impression some of his benefactors' ego trip cannot erase.

This is akin to involving yourself in a husband and wife affair. You should know better, sir.
The bottom line of all dis ur grammer is Bubu still remain and will continue to b ur president till thy kingdom come. And the most interesting part of it, is that there is nothing U or Ur mini god( Tinubu) can do about it.

SimpleBea:
Brother Ajimobi.
We know you are wicked,
We know you are crazy,
We know you rigged the elections,
We know Oyo state don't serve a governor for two terms,
We know those that brought you in are already regretting,
We know one of your children is serving jail term,
We know your wife has cancer,
We know that you are also troubled,
We know that you want to transfer your aggression upon us,
We know that many lives were being lost daily because of your obnoxious policy,
We know that God will exact vengeance on you when the time come.
Lautech students are tired of staying at home.
But continue. God is watching you!.

Mimiko's absence is remarkable. about 5years ago when the meeting was held at Grandview Magodo, Mimiko sent one of his commissioners.......that was the guy who distrupted Aregbesola's speech on the podium over the "below-the-belt" smack statement Aregbe made, purportedly refering to Mimiko.

Mimiko had never shown interest in the DAWN initiative

Exactly my brother. You can never see where one Yoruba will support another when he does bad to his people. Yorubas always want there son and daughter to go out there and represent or promote Yoruba culture and it people.

This is a very welcome development. Am sure other zones will soon begin to replicate this.

well written....the same unique ideas of tinubu was ignored by PMB and that's one of the reasons our economy is in shambles. Instead of PMB to invite technocrats to his economic team, he went ahead and handpicked his fellas. Tinubu advised him to invite soludo, Frank Iweke Jr, etc but buhari refused. We even learnt one alhaji Daura is the one who's now advising him, which was why aisha voiced out and I can't blame the lady because, if buhari fails the heat will be on her. Lagos (a state) is the 3rd largest economy in africa. We can simply infer that Lagos is a country in another country. Tinubu worked hard for Lagos to attain that pedestal. If you like, have all the wealth and resources in this world. If it's not well managed, you could be poorer than church rat. Tinubu did well in lagos and we all can see.... at times, I feel it's not part of Nigeria due to their unique ideas. Since tinubu gave buhari Fowler, our tax institution has improved in terms of revenue and performance. I don't believe in yoruba, hausa or igbo leadership. Anybody who is qualified to govern us should be allowed to prove his/her mettle. The late madam Dora of blessed memories did well in nafdac because she was a square peg in a square hole. Obj himself was criticised for picking her as a particular region protested that what obj did wasn't in line with federal character but he said all what he wanted was performance so, he went for her. He chose frank Iweke Jr as a key player in his economic team, Charles soludo to head the cbn, etc and obj recorded the largest external reserves Nigeria ever had, even when crude was sold for 50USD per barrel. It's high time buhari woke up because things can't continue this way.

Obviously you are not Yoruba or else you don't know the principle of " Omoluabi" Among the yorubas the thread to " Oruko rere" is stronger than the highway to the Presidency
