different sides of same coin.in maths u need logic to establish an argument or concept put in form of figures, in law u need logic to prove or unprove a law in form of words, mathematicians can make good lawyers but lawyers may not make good mathematicians cos maths actually is a higher realm of logic, no disrespect |

I have to say that if you find it difficult to manipulate elementary numbers, equations, or formulas then perhaps you would not apply to study higher mathematics in the first place. In other words quantifying the difficulty of higher mathematics based on a person's high school experience of maths is really neither here nor there. Every bonafide maths undergraduate really should feel totally at home with basic algebraic manipulation as it is a minimum irreducible skiil to have. Basically Law and Mathematics are two entirely different areas, and require very different study techniques and academic skills in order to make good progress. |
