A mother has spoken of the incredible moment she pulled her son from her own body during an extraordinary "maternally-assisted" caesarean birth .
Amazing photographs show how Sarah Toyer delivered her fourth baby, son Spencer, from her womb and personally welcomed him into the world.

She told The Mirror she had had three previous c-sections with her other children but wanted to feel more included in this birth .
"He was pretty easy to pull out," she said of the moment she gripped her child.
"(I) didn't have to put in much effort."
