raumdeuter: It appears you can never grow up. You seem to read junks and fail to make dim light out of darkness. It is unfortunate you have the audacity to quote dailytrust yet cannot strike the difference between Coalition and Alliance. What a dumbass junky. |

Dedetwo:You're out of your mind. As a top Army officer, when you see people creeping up on your house in the dead of the night common sense tells you (especially during that era) that a coup is ongoing. And the next step is to inform your superiors. How old are you? 5? 2 Likes |

ISpiksDaTroof:If you ever thought you were sensible, you goofed. An autopsy was also conducted for the eleven shots fired at random. An autopsy was conducted for all the speeches. Don't quote me again. |

ISpiksDaTroof: Abeg, cut the old man some slack jo. He was a boy soldier in Ojukwu's Biafran Liberation Front and his reward was a shrapnel logged in his frontal lobe whilst his mates were all wiped out in their only offensive outing. Ever since, he's been spewing gibberish. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Qelvin: Just saw this. If the Midwest invasion had not taken place, then the reprisal enacted by the federal forces which led to the death of thousands of people in the old Midwest, would probably not have occurred. ![]() ![]() If the invasion of the old Midwest had not occurred, local and international sympathy for the Biafran cause would have increased and the outcome would likely have been different. If the invasion of the old Midwest did not occur, no one would have known of Ojukwu's expansionist tendencies, and his desire to subjugate other regions and add them to his kitty. ![]() |

Qelvin:Thanks for this awesome piece ![]() This is what I keep telling Yorubas...that the worst decision Ojukwu made was to give a Yoruba command of the Midwest war...if he used Nzeogwu like he planned to before the chap died on July 26 or Nwawo which he replaced Nzeogwu with, the Midwest campaign would've been the turning point of the war ![]() |

Nzeogwu was cautioned severally on the dangerous missions he undertook but he seemed to turn a deaf ear to the Biafran army HQ recommendations...that day he died, he was together with Tom biggar who was Ojukwus brother. The two men, nzeogwu and biggar died in the Wushishi led Federal ambush that day July 26,1967 |
