Who Is Olusegun Adeniyi, Yara'adua's Spokesman? Evil Man Or Good Man Gone Bad? by Noxious: 7:03pm On Nov 28, 2009
I recently came across a comment on www.234next.com that made me critically think of this man who's arguably one of the best our journalism schools produced in the last 50 years. Hear the 234 poster :

"Mr Olusegun Adeniyi, you said Mr president felt bad because of rumours concerning his death. Did it occur to him (or you as his spokesperson) that the reason why people are feeding on scarps is because you have starved them of information? This is the first time in two years that there has been an official disclosure of what is wrong with the president. As a one-time journalist whose profession thrives on the oxygen of information, do you think this is fair? Wouldn't it have been absurd if the rumour mill did not kick into life? What do you expect people to do? You withhold critical information from them and then lament when they fall back on their imagination. By the way, Mr Adeniyi, why have you always responded with barely concealed irritation when former colleagues have asked you questions concerning the president or his health? Are you not the same person who, a couple of years ago, railed and ranted about freedom of information? How is it that you now get indigant when people try to tease the same information out of you? Why have you stopped asking the same searching questions about governance in Nigeria now that you are now on the other side? Does it not bother you that the president of a proud country like ours will continue to travel abroad for medical examination? What does that say about the state of our health sector? Mr Olusegun Adeniyi, have you suddenly forgotten what things are like outside the villa? Is this the Verdict we have all been waiting for?" http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/Home/5487111-146/Yar'Adua_is_suffering_from_heart_condition.csp

Why do the best of our social watchdogs do a 360 degrees turn or appear to do so, the instant they rise to any form of power?
