It Was chaos at the Awka Campus of Nnamdi Azikiwe University on Thursday, Janaury 26, 2017 When the school management released the long awaited Screening result for candidates vying for positions in the hitherto inactive Students Union Government.

Screening Result Analysis:

>Out of 32 Students Vying for the 9 positions in the Union, 23 Were disqualified leaving only 9 Candidates 3days to the Elections.
>7 out of the Qualified 9 candidates have no Contenders as their positions are unopposed.
>The Office of the SUG Secretary General Will remain vacant as All Applicants were disqualified
>The Position of the Student Union Government President, however becomes the only position left to be decided to by Voters on Jauary 30th.

It should be recalled that the 2-year-long ban on Student Union Government Activities at the Awka campus of UNIZIK was lifted few weeks ago by the school management following several appeals by the Students of the institution.

Several Reactions, Outbursts and criticisms have followed this uncommon turn of events in the Union.

One of the disqualified Contestants, Ekwegbalu Nnamdi, who was vying for the Position of the Union’s Presidency Took to his Facebook Page to Claim he was disqualified for being Too Vocal.
