Gud day guru in the house, I was delayed recently after throwing in my study permit application. Have read virtually all the post on this thread, I know i caused my delay, based on course mis-match (purpose of visit)... However, what is the chances of applying again if not immediately considering below factors: 1.Age above 30? 2.having visited camny twice, and other countries in recent times 3 Did a certification course in canny, in other to erase the issue of purpose of visit when filing in another application. |

tobyharwe:All you have to do is to let the vo know that your family members are all here in Nigeria and that you have no relation over there in Canada. If you have assets you could include it too |

Good day all. Does the VO consider age and the date on my last degree for a successful APPLICATION? I applied for a graduate course in Centennial and it's seems promising. Got my masters in 2011 and first degree in 2007. |

olajide21:And 2017 a graduate course? Kindly share more of your profile so we help you avoid a tsunami that is about to happen and make your visa chances too seem "promising". Your undergraduate study?, work experience? Intended program? |

colestephan86:You don't have to. He is your uncle and there is nothing wrong in him sponsporing you as one only that he will do more by atleast paying your fees before you apply. Besides, in the long run, it will come back and hunt you if you give any misleading information. Na there grammar go start. Avoid any untrue info. 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Austinpee4: 5:09pm On Apr 27, 2017 |
jboyjoel: 1.Depending on the program you are going for, age MAY or MAY not play a major role in ascertaining your chances. 2. Having travelled both to canada and other countries and returned home to nigeria will also give you some edge. 3.Doing a certification just to show course match may just not be enough. You have to also explain why it it the right program for you, how it will add to your current activity(ies), why you intend undergoing it in canada rather than in nigeria and how it will give you progressive advantages careerwise or academically. These are some of the things you will have to make officers understand convincingly. They already refused you and any additional information or circumstance MUST significantly show and clear any doubt about your study intentions. |

For those that got a letter from the embassy asking for additional bank assurance letter and CBN letter... Please do the following: 1. Get a Reference letter from your bank or Sponsors bank (If sponsored) 2. Get your sponsor to write an attestation letter stating that they are still willing to support you. 3. Get a more recent bank statement (If you have a dorm account with converted funds PLEASE include it too and state in the cover letter you are going to write that those funds have already been converted for part or wholly for your required 10000 CAD living expense) 4. Attach this CBN circular that shows you are able to carry up to 10000USD (https://www.cbn.gov.ng/out/2015/ccd/money%20laundering%20press%20release.pdf) 5.Attach this CBN circular that also shows you are entitled to 4000 USD FROM CBN when your visa is approved (https://www.cbn.gov.ng/out/2017/ccd/circular%20on%20new%20policy%20on%20pta%20school%20fees.pdf) 6. Attach confirmation letter from school showing you have paid your school fees and Attach receipt if you feel its necessary. 7. Write a cover letter explaining all Ive said here, also write and assurance them that the necessary funds are available and you promise funding will not be an issue. (Future SOP writer please always spell this point out in BOLD). #Tip When this is done...Please come and share your success story. It shall all end in praise!! 20 Likes 7 Shares |
