1. It can fly. It really just depends on how well you can convince the VO. The fact that you are fresh out of school might help you. BUT you will need to convince the VO with a really good SOP, and strong arguments and/or evidence of your reasons to want to do a business PGD in Canada. A business PGD is related to banking and finance but make sure you are crisp and clear as to why exactly you want to go to Canada when you can also study the same exact course in Nigeria. I repeat, you will need to cross a high hurdle in order to convince the VO that you need to go to far away Canada to study a business PGD course that is easily obtainable in Nigeria. So please keep this in mind when you are putting together your application. Your application can be successful but it needs to be extremely convincing! 2. Your discharge certificate is not a prerequisite. Just provide sufficient evidence that you are doing NYSC, in addition to your current employment documents. Omoarukheo: |

Omoarukheo:Shai, how on earth will someone advice you to do go to Germany. I intend traveling there 2015, at the embassy I met a friend going for Masters in Financial Management or Economics sha. I spoke to with the guy last month, he was just lamenting. Don't be deceived Germans are racist, with a very difficult language to learn, who told you they are the economic giant of Europe. Those are all his comments. Think twice 8040 Euro is not a small money. Safe. |

I stand to be corrected, but I don't think it is accurate to say that @Omoarukheo's application has no chance of getting approved. While I get the point you may have been trying to make, none of us here are VOs and we don't know enough about the applicant to make a categorical statement that s/he technically has no chance of being approved. I do agree with you that given the recent spate of PGD denials his/her application may not have a high chance of approval unless s/he puts together an application that is very convincing. michV: |

From my above highlighted, technically i don't think you stand any chance. All I see is ''purpose of visit refusal''. I may sound blunt but it is the gospel truth I make onto you. As widely known TRUTH is always bitter, MichV has a point here but to whom this useful information is for make use of it as time is the most important thing to take cognisant of (very wicked cos him no get time to wait). Ki Eni ti oni eti ko gbo. BTW, MichV u no dey reply pm's. How about that Uni-assist documentation processing, the status Don changed. Abeg reply my pm, we get yarn or burst me for that DIE BESPRECHUNG syd |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by maziude: 8:17am On May 24, 2017 |
My simple advise. With a view not to sound repetitive, 1) No matter the admission offer you have (bsc, diploma, pgc, pgd, msc, phd), ensure you have an airtight application. Heck, I recently read a case where a phd applicant was refused visa even with funding because she failed to specify the funding details in her sop and didnt attach the funding offer(she thought she did). She later re applied and got it. Moral: cross check everything before submission, never assume the VO will request for any missing document that might favour you. The more the merrier. 2) Ensure there is some level of progression with respect to your academic offer. This will save you the stress of trying so much to explain the reason why you are going for your course. We keep saying this, things are changing, VOs are humans still leaving in this world, so they know too. 3)Availability of funds is not a criteria to be given VISA. It is one of rhe requirements. As such let every factor work hand in hand for your good. 4) By all means seek alternatives. There are many roads to a destination. Do have a lovely day. 2 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Nobody: 10:23am On May 24, 2017 |
Please go ahead and submit your application. That letter is not a prerequisite. If you want, you can source the letter while your visa is being processed, just in case... But I dont think you should delay application because of that letter Cheers... yomcy2016: |

lanrayx: look forward to applying for fall.. It's better to apply early than to apply late as application are often attended to on First in first out (FIFO) basis.. In your case, the deadline has even elapsed. Please dont waste your money but if u insist you want to still apply, then will adc=vise you to contact the programme cordinator before you proceed. Goodluck |

lanrayx: Nope boss. Not advisable. Wait till the next application cycle. Just out of curiousity, did you tell them you come from a country where english is the main language? Because, I did that when applying to uottawa and was asked to show proof by submitting a letter from my school. That might have helped though. 1 Like |

I did my biometrics on may 8. My uncle in Canada helped me to apply. Please What are my chances according to experience? |

MichaelFinn: I don't get all this.... we are all learned colleagues irrespective of our perception. This forum has helped a lot of people and trust me every constructive criticism has shaped alot of applications including mine. My advice to us all is to look at every advice given and joyfully use the one applicable to our question after all we aren't paying to get this information and advice. +plus who is resuming this sept at uni of regina? And how convinient is egyptair. 1 Like |
