vikmeek: Australia schools require only IELTS, TOEFL and the likes but don't require GRE. Admission process is btw 1-4wks max unlike Canada that takes like 6months or more |

maziude: What of during holidays or vacations that last for a month or more? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by maziude: 11:11pm On May 27, 2017 |
StCruz247: During the holidays, you MIGHT/MIGHT NOT get a job that MIGHT contribute some amount towards your tuition or daily living. But, What if you dont get a job during the holidays? The point I am trying to make is, let us not get our hopes high about getting a job or getting a huge pay from jobs while studying. That way, if nothing comes, we will not feel disappointed. Remember, we are in competition with other nationals for these same limited jobs. |

Do the maths even during holiday that you're working 40hrs you tend to pay more tax and if it is under the table you're being paid low. Do the maths if you're working mon - Fri you can get avg of 480/40hrs/ week with no life because I did it when i was a student. My point is dont assume you'll hustle to pay your tuition fee while schooling here. Abi how many hours job will you do to raise 14k? When you've reoccurring bills StCruz247: |

Genius000: Although your intentions are good, it won't help the candidate. Mentor the candidate to write it him/herself, by supplying enough materials and also reviewing after writing. Writing is a necessary skill for graduate study, and I believe it can't be learnt by proxy. It is well. 6 Likes |

House, you've been doing a great job here and I've been following silently, learning from your experience. I've admission from Concordia University Montreal - PGD Computer Science. My first degree is in Physics (1999) and I have been working since then as a Software Engineer. I'm going for this program because, I can't become a partner where I work, except I have an IT related degree and I'm long overdue for it. With the current trend of fees payment and requests from IRCC, I would like to pay my whole tuition fees at once but my banks (GTB and Access Bank) can only honor the balance in my student account. Now, I want to submit this same document to the two banks, which will allow me pay double of the balance, which is exactly what I need for my first year tuition. I also want to keep USD 10,000.00 in my dom account and possibly ask the bank to give me a bank draft of that amount in my name, as part of the financial documents I will be submitting to IRCC. My question is, what is the implication of me using one document to pay these fees twice? Is it illegal? |

Currently, I'm applying for a Canadian Study Permit and I want to know if am suppose to fill any other forms apart from the forms attached with the "Lagos Visa Office form" Then lastly, since am not applying via online route, would my application come with barcodes? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by bayocanny: 8:32am On May 28, 2017 |
irohak:You mean those IMM forms? If I may ask how many forms are there with you, and yes once you filled the forms properly a barcodes will be generated at the end of the form |

Thanks for your response. I just downloaded the forms and filled them via paper route and not online which has been extremely difficult. So, am wondering how these barcodes will be generated? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by SamReinvented: 9:26am On May 28, 2017 |
Austinpee4:I believe application assessment/processing and visa issuance are 2 different things. From what I gathered online, applications are processed all across the world. Even paper applications are scanned by the VFS and placed on some central online portal, to be picked up by a less busy VO, across the world. However, once your app is approved by a VO, the visa will be issued by the appropriate VAC (ie: the one where you submitted your app/ the nearest issuing centre to your country/the centre you selected in your app/ etc). This is based on my reading, no one knows for sure, how the applications are handled. |

[quote author=Genius000 post=56939243]. Sorry what was your GP? I can help you in your next application. I will write SOP, research proposal and all and you will be admitted with funds if the supervisor has. But I am so busy now. I can only do this by the end of my semester. Around July-August First of all, I want to say big thanks to you for all you intend to do for me...Words alone can't express how grateful I am to you. I graduated with a 3.870 CGPA. Okay boss. I will wait till around the said time when you would be through with your semester. But, what about deadline date for application boss. In any event, I am grateful. Thank you so very much... Please can I have your email boss? Sent you a message later last week but it requires you to accept my message request before I can send you a mail with content. Thanks a great deal. |

irohak:when you download the forms...fill it using your computer...look for the 'validate' button at the top or bottom of the page and click on it...the bar codes will be generated at the last page...then you can print it out and sign |

Osemigho:I was going to reiterate this.. It will be deceptive to write a research proposal for him. What's going to happen if he gets the grant and cannot carry out the research?? Research work is not beans (you might have to write a thesis with 10,000 words minimum).. it takes diligence, discipline, passion and dedication to complete a research (speaking from experience with medical research, anyway). Please guide him through it; don't spoon-feed him.. 2 Likes |

bayocanny: Yes I mean all the IMM forms. There are about 5 different forms to be filled. And this includes the Lagos Visa Office Instructions form which encapsulates the content of all other forms mentioned here. I have downloaded the Study Permit Application Form( Lagos Visa Office Instructions) and have meticulously filled it with Adobe Auto fill. Please note that am applying via paper and NOT ONLINE. so how can I possibly generate a barcodes for a paper application? Thanks for your time and concern |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by maziude: 12:49pm On May 28, 2017 |
irohak: When you are done filling the main application form, click validate on the top right corner, if everything was filled normally, your form will be validated and the last page will have the bar codes |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by matic12: 12:57pm On May 28, 2017 |
To generate the barcode, you will need to validate the lMM 1294 form. The validation column can be found on top or below the form... Once, you have faithfully filled the form, click on the validation column and thus, the barcode will be generated... |

chybaz: Hello boss, Based on the above info, we dont know. No one can give you the answer you seek, we can only speculate. For us to better understand and give advice on your situation, you will need to furnish us with details like your current degree, intended programmme, how much is your tuition fee?, do you have a scholarship? are you currently employed?, are you married?, do you have any kids? and so on. Provide these answers and we can help speculate. US visa proces and canda visa procesd are two different things. Finally, if you do intend to apply, now will be a good time. Regards. @Austinepee4 and my gurus, any help/word of advice for our boss? 1 Like |

SamReinvented:How easy is it for a Nigerian application to be processed in China or Russia knowing how much they scrutinize and confirm anything coming out of that country and secondly I think the VO's recognize the fact that there are trends when it comes to visa application there was a time when it was trend to borrow money and apply for visa which is probably why the request of this additional documents came into place... Your don't expect a VO to follow the trend of the whole world they probably know what's up with a particular region... You might be right though I'm not arguing or debating I'm just wondering |

dame134: Am amazed you will rather wait and pause your life for 2-3 months for human rather than to start now yourself. It is not a good sign of independency and readiness. It is normal if you feel overwhelmed by what to write, but you will regret it if you don't write it yourself. I have written more than 5 SOP for myself and I can categorically tell you that I laugh at my first SOP and regard it as too weak anytime I see it. Between now and August, that you want to wait for someone, you can write over 5 amazing SOP for yourself, and you will be happy and highly inspired that you did it yourself. Go and read about SOP. Ask your helper to mentor you and review it. Since the future you want to commit yourself to is about fishing, Learn to fish and not to eat fish alone. In your choose career line, learn to be independent with less guidance, if you don't want to fail too early. You want to know more on why you should be independent? Ok. Every soul you depend on for tomorrow has chances that he/she may be too busy or 'gone forever' by then. Strive to be independent always! 4 Likes |
