'A sad Saturday for the Government and good people of Cross River State as the head of the Judiciary, the Chief Law Officer and Chief Judge of the State, Justice Okoi Ikpi Itam has been called home by his creator, God.

The number one citizen of the state, Governor Ben Ayade on hearing of the passage of the Chief Judge, promptly paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Justice Itam's residence in Calabar'.
