In the old testament,the peculiar people had no freedom,they couldn't just do whatever they like as several laws bound them but still, it was easier for them to commit sin,and they did it ceaselessly.The new testament is a different story,the peculiar people i.e regenerated souls are free,can do whatever they like,not bound by laws but still find it difficult to commit sin and hardly offend God.Jesus' work on earth is wonderful.
