legislatively:
This is 2nd gate Oshodi Apapa ,Tincan port , 2nd highest generating revenue to FG , yet the abuja Airport only took weeks to fix

The president doesn't travel by sea so why should this road matter?

Is this sarcasm or do people reason this idioticly in this country?

mikolo80:
how else will you know they are working close to election time

What do you mean. She's an appointee besides if you see a smooth road. You know work happened. They can brag about it on online.

midol:
Even if you repair that road 30 times it will still be destroyed 30 times until you decongest the port by reducing the number of trailers and containers plying that road. How do you decongest? develop other ports East of lagos like PH, calabar, Warri, Onitsha. Common sense! but will our muslim skulls agree? grin grin

What are you bringing up muslim for. Did the Federal government not give support for Ibom Deep Seaport. The other besides port Harcourt aren't deep seaports. They aren't that good. Onitsha River Port does need dredging. NIWA needs to get too it.

It is very embarrassing that a country with so many coast lines has only one fully functional sea-port. How far with progress on th Ibaka Seaport?

So Calabar that was used by the British Niger royal company to export tons of Palm, Cassava and thousands of slaves pre-lugard is no longer 'deep enough' because it is closer to Igboland. Weh done sir. grin

The answer no. Stop speaking on this subject your obviously too ignorant and lack critical thinking skills. You using colonial ships as your benchmark is proof enough u lack common sense. It's not deep enough to be deep seaport because it's too shallow just like you.

Compare the depths for yourself.

Nothing yet they still at technical planning stage. They won't start building till 2018 I think. Expect Lekki Deep Seaport first.

Unfortunately, that is indeed how many, many Nigerians reason. Why do your job properly if you won't benefit directly from it? Not that I can blame them completely, given how poorly doing good work is rewarded in the land of the quota-system, rampant nepotism, and the doling out of "jobs" as a form of political patronage. Diligently doing one's job is a mug's game in Nigeria, and such good deeds are all too often punishable (for preventing others from "chopping" from the "national cake" ).

No justification for that road to be in that state. Nigeria is a failed state.
