The man that did, in 8 years, what the colonialists could not do in more than 40 years.

He brought civilization to Nigeria through television station, first in Africa.

Free and compulsory elementary education to the old Western and Mid-west Regions

He opened housing and industrial Estates from Ikeja to Ibadan

He ended the civil war through wisdom.

Yes, the man that used over three million stubborn goats for pepper soup and suya between 1967 and 1970. Several years after the children and grandchildren of the stubborn goats of yester-years are still being used for suya by Fulani herdsmen.
oh cool. But he in hell though. Burning for eternity...while the people he tried to feed on are bubbling and flexing hard..now the richest region in nigeria

The best!

Th only leader in the world I've read and heard referred to as "the sage".

He died naturally at a ripe age.

May his soul rest in perfect peace.

A lot of Nigerians, now part of the wasted generation, who benefited from his policies and benevolence are always quick to mock the best of Africa for introducing only one policy that defeated 'the enemy'.

"Awolowo is greater than Mandela"- Odia Ofeimu- Nigeria's foremost writer and former private secretary to the late sage.
