All regular users of the Port Harcourt International Airport can confirm that the airport has been in a very deplorable state and near moribund for over 6 or more years.

The airport witnessed the highest degree of retreat from prudent management and maintenance by the previous government. In fact, it was so bad that it was categorised as one of the worst Airports in the World.

Today, With Muhammadu Buhari as President and Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi as Minister of Transportation, primal attention has been paid to the airport and frantic efforts are already being made to return it to its lost glory.

Yesterday, the Honourable Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi was with the Chairman of BUA Construction Limited, Nath Okechukwu, for inspection of the ongoing Reconstruction works at the Airport.

In a short while, the airport will be put in good shape befitting its International status.
