Perhaps you wanna blame God for making you a Nigerian.

As if you will come as a biafran if God gives you the power to pick where you are from. You nor go pick Europe or America?

I expect you to deny it since you "probably" don't like good thing but travel out for a vacation and see if you won't change your mind.

Your hero this, your hero that. I can bet that you never knew this man until now. You can easily say he's your hero becos you support biafra. How much have you willingly donated to them? They need help now, abi Nigeria nor donate money for south Africa? What have you done for these people? Do your people in the east especially those shouting biafra in Enugu have accounts where they appreciate these men who fought for biafra? Are they celebrated in the east? Social media will even make them popular if you celebrate them.

Today people know Ken saro-wiwa, Tony Enahoro, Ojukwu. What about the biafran soldiers still alive? Who among them come close to wole soyinka's fame? If you laud them, people will eccho them. In the east singers like phino Fino and flavour are more popular and celebrated than any living biafran soldier.

Try to create accounts where every igbo will use to support these so-called heroes and see if igbos will not be divided over the idea.

You think all igbos are united and they agree? There are many places that don't inter marry, in fact they don't do things together. Where is th unity? One biafra

Yeah...brave man.

But what baffles me is why would a leader send his followers to the war front with only FIVE f**king bullets?

Read up the history of the Nigerian Civil War. Alexander Madiebo's account is cheap and readily available. This and many other questions will be answered.

They were the lucky ones!
The BOFF - Biafran Organization Of Freedom Fighters were trained to fight with bare hands and catapults.
They creep up to Nigerian Soldiers, snap their necks and dispossessed them of their arms and ammunitions.

That was how they augmented their own weapons stocks and it totally made the Nigeria troops paranoid in the bushes.

Was Nigeria ever great?

When will u ever know that Nigeria can never be great as long as three powerful ethnic groups share powers in the same country?

When? I have seen many Nigerian retired soildiers who fought for the Nigerian govt abandoned.. I grew up in the barracks bro in the western part of Nigeria.. I see men forgotten after suffering for Nigeria..

In the case of Biafra one can even say they lacked the finance to even take care of their sons who fought for them but that can't be said about Nigeria with all the money..

Pls this current political structure is not paying the ordinary citizens..

Pls take a tour to military and police barracks and go with photos.. Nigeria has never been great.. I don't like when someone makes that comment except u are related to poilicians or u are a politician..

Three camptains can't stair a ship at the same time..

If we don't tell our selves the truth, I fear for the future generation.. I will work so hard to ensure my kids get citizenship cards of other advanced countries.. Nigeria is not safe..
Nigeria has not learnt from history.. Things we fought over are still the order of the day..

Take ur time and read various military coup speech in nigeria in the past and u will see same things they complained about are still happening till date..

For our own good, let's forget about a politically united Nigeria and allow each regions to manage their own economy and political depositions as they like.. That is the only way to go.. And this can only be possible if we can stop hating on the people who took the giant step to fight for a freedom..

If u are not ashamed of Nigeria as it is after 50 years, pls I am ashamed..

My father was at the battle fronts for several months too. But not as a soldier. He told me about the five bullets too. He also said that the five bullets meant five enemies must be shot dead. When you exhaust it. Just move through the trench to the task HQ. When every soldier is gone only the elite ogbunigwe soldiers remained. And hell, they wrecked havoc.
I've been pressuring him to write his own book.

My brother, the various literature review of the Biafra war posit that the war was a failure before it even began. How do you fight a war with a govt that has money and something to exchange for arms when you are landlocked, pose a less equipped and experienced army?

Nigerian army should be ashamed of themselves, they couldn't defeat soldiers who had only 5 bullets for 3 good years.

That is why the riffraf Awolow* introduced starvation as a means of brutality against the east.

No wonder he drank rat poison, he knew what awaited him.

That is not true in the least. The Biafrans had many advantages. It was the British intervention on the FG side and eventually the blockade of Biafra that did them in. Without these Ojukwu would very likely have succeeded. I intend to write a short article on the war soon so that our generation may be enlightened. Look out for it

You join hands with friends and like minds
And not with foes with different cultural religious differences
It leads to chaos... Underdevelopment .. Hunger.. All the indices you see in Nigeria today

Nigeria have been hell on earth
A den of injustice
An epitome of corruption
A historic mistake

The onus is on all of us to rectify this catastrophe and Balkanize this country
We have nothing in common

You've been hypnotised.
The political elite have something in common regardless of their ethnic or religious affiliates.
They loot together bit preached diversity to us.
But you, a common citizen don't want to have anything in common with other citizens from different ethnic and religious borders

The war to liberate Nigeria from mental slavery is not against ethnic or religion. It's against the political elite that keep hypnotising some gullible with sermons of ethnic and religious hatred

They were out of ammunitions. I know Igbos may be somehow maltreated but an affectionate leader should know when to stop when loosing ground. Pride shouldn't let your people die.

Ojukwu enjoyed his life while alive including marrying Nigeria's beauty pageant. This loyal guy wasn't given any welfare.
