WITH EFFECT FROM 31ST DECEMBER 2010 THE MACHINE READABLE PASSPORT (MRP) WILLCEASE TO BE A VALID TRAVEL DOCUMENT. CONSEQUENTLY AS FROM THE 1ST OF JANUARY 2011 ONLY HOLDERS OF THE HARMONISED ECOWAS ELECTRONIC(SMART) PASSPORT(E-PASSPORT) WILL BE ALLOWED TO TRAVEL OUT OF NIGERIA. THE E - PASSPORT CAN BE OBTAINED FROM PASSPORT OFFICES IN ABUJA AND ALL STATES OF THE FEDERATION AS WELL AS NIGERIAN MISSION ABROAD. @ MR PRSDENT ITS NOT AN OLD NEWS. WAT IS OLD IN THE NEWS IS DAT THE YR 2010 BUT THE ACTUAL DATE OF VALIDITY WHICH IS 31ST DEC IS WAT IS NEW. IT WAS ADOPTED TODAY IN A TOP MANAGEMENT MEETING WHICH I WAS PART OF. SO BE PROPERLY INFORMED. CHEERS. |

i even thot u know wen it was agreed dat 2010 is d year for invalidating the old passport. i just knew u r making blind statements. the 2010 issue was pronounced in 2007 during the advent of the e passport as against ur 31st dec 2009. so guy abeg remove i think i have done my own information dissemination. |
