They will definitely join Biafra if things get serious, and there is a call for referendum. Because igbos will give them a good deal. My point is that they do not have any purpose of themselves.
what do igbos have to offer in this good deal?

South south have the wealth, they have bigger lands, they have water/port and everything to own a country.

What exactly does south east have to offer south south that would make them want to join your dreamed utopia of potopoto?

Considering that Niger Deltans are "purposeless" according to you, the appropriate thing to do is to save yourself the trouble of these purposeless people and focus your agitation on your purposeful group.

All these blackmail will not sway the minds of people into the Biafraa project.

FTR: Each ethnic nationality within the SS zone have their agenda... Sadly, not one of them is pro Biafra. It however doesn't mean they are against Biafra, what this means is that they aren't aligned to the cause.
That is the beginning of failure, how many ethnic nationalities- 500, 1000? Isoko, Urhobo, Agbo, Anioma, Ukwuani, Ijaw, Okrika, Ndoni, Etche, Ikwerre, Anang, Ibibio, Efik, Eleme, Ogoni, Itsekiri, Ndoni, Igbanke etc. You see how stratified? Most of these groups are linguistically related, yet they segregate due to oil curse. I expressed a statement of fact, not forcing anyone to join any group. What happened to their agitation for Niger Delta republic? They can just survive on their own. See what's happening in Omoku?

South South thinks oil is wealth, which can be collaborated by your statement (first error). If you offer them to control their oil wealth, they would jump at it. Mind you, richest economies in the world are not oil economies. Wealth is people not natural resources. My fear, they would kill each other in their greed. Hopefully a bigger group like Nigeria or Igbos will keep them together. Just saying the facts. They Niger deltans know this

TonyeBarcanista , you are enlightened, you know points raised are true. Move through Bayelsa villages, Delta creeks. I have been there, even cluster villages close to Bonny. What their boys are good at is playing football, impregnating young girls. It's the women that farm and fetch firewood. It's a horrible sight. No guidance, no education, no nothing. A few elites and militant kingpins keep using them for their personal gains. It's similar to northern elite use of almajiris.

Well done op. This should serve as insight, eye opener to the Deltan youths. Agbo youths are the most industrious and focused in that region.
If Niger Deltans decide to remain in one Nigeria slogan without realities Biafra have no right to force them against their will or wish but the should remember the words of saro-wiwa the father of Ken saro wiwa during the Biafra war....."do not fight your neighbours" ken supported Nigerian army, the same Nigerian army commander Abacha hanged him. History is about repeating itself. Hausas are interested in crude oil period but the decision is yours.
That's the problem...they don't seem to be able to decide on anything. They keep shouting IGBOs want our oil. And I ask...what do Hausa and Yoruba want from you?

Seriously, IGBOs have their own oil; Imo, Abia, Anambra and IGBO territories in SS, all have OIL

Like you said, no body should force them to join Biafra...or even make a decision bout their future

Last time I checked, south south also have more human resources than south east.
They are ahead of south east in everything you can think about.

you didn't answer the damn question?

What do south east (igbos) have to offer south south (ijaws, urohos and other ethnic group) that would make them want to join the dreamed potopoto utopia.

By the looks of things, if nigeria breaks today, south east will be the biggest parasite on south south if they both form a country together. Why would south south leave the horror of nigeria and still join south east with nothing to offer them but leech on their resources?

What I come to understand is that the minorities prefer a one Nigeria where the majority tribes are checkmating themselves to the advantage of the minorities. They foresee extreme injustice if they end up in a country as described thus: Hausa / Fulani / middle belt, or Igbo / Rivers / Akwa Ibom / Cross Rivers, SW / Edo and Delta and Bayelsa. Its for this reason that Rivers / Akwa Ibom / Cross Rivers are indifferent to the cause of IPOB. I even believe they can still sacrifice the Igbo for a better relationship with the Yoruba or Hausa / Fulani no matter the extent of sacrifice the Igbo make to prove their sincerity. What is the way forward? I think it is best to agitate strongly for a Biafran State devoid of any of these southern states. South Africa extricated itself off the apartheid regime in spite of the regime's economic and military strength, world wide support from the western countries. Nigeria is a midget and offers much less challenges. We need to strategize and stay focused. Yes Biafra will be landlocked but it does not matter. We will survive like several other landlocked states spread all over Africa and other parts of the world. It calls for intensifying our struggle to be free from Nigeria. There can never be a deal worse than our present condition in Nigeria.

If Southeast seeks for independence, they might get it in record time. South South will betray them again. Nigeria is interested in oil while igbos are interested in freedom to do their own thing. History seems to be repeating itself.

Yes we need to change the agenda and make if an agitation for a strictly Igbo speaking Biafran State. If we show some measure of resolve here, it will agitate the Nigerian state to no end. Even our indifferent neighbors will feel very exposed and unprotected under Nigerian control. They will also want out at some point. But they must work it out by themselves. We are acting on the basis of conviction but these neighbors are yet to reach that level of conviction which can only come to them from their group experiencing. We just must stop handing our hope on their acquiescence for our struggle. No body or group is indispensable.

Luxembourg is number 1 in GDP per capita in the world. Yet they are landlocked. Japan has no natural resources except resourceful citizens. Same with Singapore etc. Yet Saudi cannot compete with them in development despite pumping 11M barrels of oil daily for a smaller population.

What kind of fuckery is this? Why do y'all enjoy dragging Igbos into threads like this? You accuse others of being unity beggars, yet, display the same traits. If the Niger Delta part of Nigeria does not have a purpose as you put, leave them be! angry

Na this kind thing dey make me vex! They do not have a purpose, yet, you are trying to appeal to them to join Biafra. That is why people will always see Igbos as those that cannot stand alone because of threads like this!!!!! angry

Thank you. Now let me ask. What advantage has the open access to see brought to Nigeria. You will see that the advantage of open access to the sea is grossly underutilized in Nigeria with > 80% of port activities restricted to only one section of the country. Even if you give Nigeria the next 100 years with Hausa / Fulani and Yoruba at the helm of affairs things will never change for the better.

You people keep showing how selfish and self centered you are over and over again.
You claim you are marginalised in Nigeria,
You claim to have the population and technical know how to survive as a nation without the others in Nigeria,
You claim to have the highest number of billionaires in Nigeria,
You claim we are purposeless,
Yet you have refused to agitate for a nation without hanging your hopes on the SS.

It's obvious South South holds the key to your success as a nation, if not you guys won't be crying and begging day in day out for an inclusion of SS in your phantom biafra.
We may be different by tribes, we may be different by language, but we know who we are and what we want and biafra has never been one of it.

Remember I'm not against a biafran state(country), neither are my for or against Nigeria's disintegration.
All I'm concerned with is the Niger Delta(SS) and my future as a Niger Deltan; be it in Nigeria or as an entity of its own.

Have you travelled through Bayelsa and creeks of Niger delta ? Apart from Edo abd Sapele axis, they're very poor . You hardly see that level of poverty in southeast villages. Most menial jobs are done by so called rich Niger deltans. They in a big dream because they have been raped and at tge same time blinded.

At least they have massive natural resources worth several billions of dollars. The only reason they are poor is because of the bad system of government Nigeria is currently practising. The south east has very little resources, the whole south east produces less than 70,000 barrels of oil per day, while the Niger delta have the ability to produce 3 million barrels of oil per day. The south east basically have nothing to offer. U guys don't have any bargaining chip. The worse of the South-South is still far better than the best of the South East

Honestly, I dont think anyone will have to be blackmailed into the Biafran project. I think that when the realisation finally hits home that the North will never allow restructuring to ever happen in Nigeria, you people will weight your options and find out you dont really have any.

You cant even see the hypocrisy of what you are wtitting. You have to learn to face your ethnic group same as you ask Igbos to do the same.

The Biafra you are talking about was never about Igbos alone. In the first Republic of Biafra, look at non Igbo appointments.

Philip Effiong- Deputy head of state (Annang)
Nr NU Akpan- Secretary to the Biafran Govt(Ibibio)
Lt Col George Kurubo-commander Biafran Airforce (Ijaw)

How can Biafra be an Igbo thing when the two most powerful people in Government after Ojukwu were not Igbos? How can Biafra be an Igbo thing when Philip Effiong, its last president, was not Igbo?

It is really funny the slave mentality people have these days. You are Nigerian because Lugard created Nigeria, you are South South because Abacha created South South. It is others that have to tell you what you are. You cant even demand referendum to choose who you are.

You dont have to support or believe in Biafra, but do not speak for other tribes in the name of South/South. The Oron man, the Efik man, the Ijaw man etc all have their right to speak for themselves. Not even the Biafrans are claiming to speak for these people as everybody is agreed on the principle of referendum where everyone speaks for themselves.

The issue of Biafra is a very important one because it borders on the soverignty of the ethnic groups in the south of Nigeria. That is why you should never speak outside your ethnic group, others can speak for themselves.

What I am saying is, what deal can Biafra offer a resource-rich Niger-Delta?

They are the ones with the resources, I don't see why they should go with Biafra so she could offer them a better deal than Nigeria currently does.

South South is one huge disjointed mix of minorities from different cultural and language backgrounds, who literally came into existence from 1999 upwards. Our enermous differences actually makes us compete against ourselves. We practically have no common agenda. We are nothing other than a creation for political expediency.
