I have tried to format many memory cards but end up not
being able to because they were write protected.
Well, the thing is that some memory cards/ flash drives are
“locked” so that you won't be able to paste files on them or
format. Although you can view and access the files stored in
these drives, but you can't delete them. (Annoying huh....)
So in this Article, am going to show you two (2) ways you
can remove “write protection” from your disk drives. If you
try the first method and it doesn't work, then try the second
method. If the second method stl doesn't work, then your disk
may be corrupt. Well I hope the below methods works for
you.
Method 1
* Click the start menu on your desktop and search for
“regedit” without the quotes and launch
* Using the pane on the left, navigate to
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM
\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies
