FEC Approved N2.4bn NAHCON Headquarters by Omooba77: 7:59am On Jun 29, 2017
The Federal Executive Council yesterday approved N2.4 billion for the purchase of Abuja Metro Plaza to serve as the Corporate Headquarters of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

NAHCON Chairman, Abdullahi Mukhtar Mohammed disclosed this to State House correspondents after the FEC meeting.

He said: “The approval was granted consequent upon the commission’s ability to raise N2 billion out of the N2.4 billion of the agreed price.

“The balance of about N500 million, which is about 20 per cent is to be funded from the commission’s 2017 budget appropriated capital expenditure.

“The main building of the property after renovation will serve as NAHCON’s Corporate Headquarters complete with conference halls, board rooms, training centre etc, while the two annexes are to be rented out for the commission to generate revenue in its strive to achieve financial autonomy from government.”

Two Questions;

1. FEC approved N2.4B for the purchase of an existing building owned by a private individual for Hajj Operations?

2. WHO OWNS Abuja Metro Plaza?
