Yeye seller on AE failed to expedite the delivery of 18650 cell holders that I bought. That was before COVID thingy. I lost interest in pursuing it further.

Going forward, I think I need to stock more than enough cell holders.

What's the capacity of your installed BMS that you're able to use it to crank the car and gen?

Is it common port BMS or seperate port BMS?

I used a 60amp bms from AliExpress, but I jump the BMS to start the motors, I don't trust does chinko stuff and I haven't tested using via the BMS,

..I think it's safer tho ..cause I just need to plug the battery for few seconds before disconnect

Equipment manufacturers are required to spec the maximum amps an appliance will consume within its operating voltage range.

In this case a max of 100v × 1.8amps = 180w.

Best to get a watt meter and actually measure what your appliance consumes in different modes

JaySterling:
Please with this image below, how can I calculate the wattage of my TV

Since Power (watts) = Volt times current

V x I

Will I multiply the 100 x 1.8 Amps or the
240 x 1.8 Amps

Thanks

That's the problem bro. I don't own a spot welder and I have a roll of nickel strip just wasting away o, imagine.

I hope I should be able to still salvage some of the cells. I will just use it to as pack for an expansion slot I'm DIYing for laptop power bank I bought off of AE. The power bank came originally with slots for 3s2p with BMS and all. I'll add more batteries to it.

There are cheap 10-cell 18650 powerbank case from AE why not buy one and get the expansion and higher capacity that you need?

I use 18650 cells holder, they create space to prevent shorts and reduce heat. Which is more better I have like 1000 of them gotten from AE.

And I just even use my battery pack to start a car and generator today. Directly. lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

Cell holder makes the job of creating a big bank with 18650 very easy, safe and with pleasing aesthetics.

Canadian Solar 330w - Approx 1.97m by 0.992m

Canadian Solar 380w -Approx 2m by 0.992m

If you assume 2meter length you wont be far off.

would you have the 330w/300w mono for sale?

In the spirit of getting energy-efficient appliances, here is a woofer speaker for anyone who is looking for a good sound system with low power consumption and impressive sound.

I was looking for an energy efficient sound system for my DC TV 'cos I can't stand the sound from it, it's plain annoying (no trace of bass at all) grin.
So I looked up AliExpress and was seriously considering the Soundcore Motion+ soundbar but the corona thingy stood in the way. So I decided to search locally and I saw quite a number of DC options that work with 12v battery but most consumed nothing less than 60w.

I decided to give this 40w rechargeable woofer speaker a try and was pleasantly surprised. It has an inbuilt battery that can last for 2.5-3hrs depending on the volume. So I charge with my inverter or PHCN and use it with the TV. It gets fully charged in less than 1hr and lasts for 2.5hrs on battery. Trust me, the treble is good and the bass is heavier than most soundbars (I am a 'sound person' so I know what I am saying cheesy). It has Bluetooth, FM, Aux at the back, USB and SD card slot. There are also treble and bass adjustment knobs.
The size is 21 inches X 7 inches X 5 inches

It's available on Jumia. I believe those of you in Lagos can get it offline for less than the Jumia price.
These Jumia and Alaba sellers better prepare a commission for me for this free advert cheesy

Oh, so I have people who think like I do, The Soundcore Motion+ may even beat this with 4 driver 10w+10w+5w+5w.

My home theater consume about 50 watts, in terms of sounds, Motion+ produce all the sound I need, my wife always tell me it's too loud.. I only put it on 50% Volume portable but does the Job..

I orderedy on 28 February, arrived 12 March

Wow, from AliExpress? I guess I should have had a little more faith cheesy

I think this one will deliver more bass because it has a dedicated 20w subwoofer which delivers heavy bass punches. I can't play it at max volume without constituting a public nuisance.cheesy

The Soundcore Motion+ may beat it in terms of surround effect. I expect the Soundcore to have better balance between highs and lows and overall stereo effect.

Yeah... the one with the red and black color...saw it during my search but didn't like it 'cos it works with only AC.
I needed something that works with DC or has its own battery that will allow me use it without an inverter.

Don't use that as a yardstick, get a Watts meter, I've seen something similar on a 45" LG but it doesn't consume more than 40+ in power saver mode.

With utility restored back to my area (after a year) my PV had some rest yday. That said, with the AC restored it further reveals the absurdity in the reporting of felicity. However it works and that is the consolation I have until my MPP GK comes back online.

Thanks to everyone contributing, Ive been learning a lot from here. Please I'll like to ask if my 3300 watts generator can charge a 3.5kva inverter. I was told that for an inverter to be charged then the generator needs to be times 2 of the inverter in terms of kva, I don't know how true that is and I intend getting a 3.5kva inverter because of my AC... Kindly advise please

What do you harvest daily from your set up?

What's the size of your battery bank?

What absurdity?
Please explain.

A couple of them which are largely report related:

1. It doesn't give you on-screen daily harvest
2. Once load is below 100w it report zero load which does not help accurate logging
3. When charging by AC it does not report the charge rate
4. It does not combine AC and PV charge, it is either of them (read the 4/5kva version does this)
5. Minimum charge rate that can be set is 20A

All the above were features that I enjoyed in MPP. So maybe felicity reporting is similar to others as well.

Check out Genex Technlogies (goggle them)
They deal solely on Canadian solar panels. Their office is at Lekki.
On their website they actually have pdf manuals of the available panels in stock. You can check their sizes there
