Assalamu alaykum warahmotullahi wabarokatuhu.
All praises and adoration be unto the Almighty Allah, the lord of the universe. We beseech his peace, blessings and infinite mercy unpon the noble soul of our prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).

Piety (Taqwa in Arabic) can simply be defined as reverence and devotion to Almighty Allah. It is also translated to mean the fear of Allah and as we all know, the fear of Allah is the beginning of all wisdom. Allah says in Quran 59 v 18-19:
"O ye who believe, fear Allah for Allah is well acquainted with all that Ye do. And be Ye not like those who forget Allah and he made them forget their own souls; such are the rebellious transgressors"

Going by the verse above, we are advised to look at what provision we have set forth for tomorrow which refers to the judgement day and not to forget our own souls by forgetting Allah. The provisions we are to make include alp forms and aspects of worship of Allah including those we perform with our mind, body and finances. Piety will make one to dwell in the aforementioned and other good deeds from which one can earn Allah's rahmoh (blessings). The absence of piety for Allah put one in the group of people that forget their own souls, leaving them not to nurture, preserve and take care of their souls against Allah's punishment and alas, Allah describes this set of people as rebellious transgressors ! May Allah save us from being among this grouo of people.

As it can be inferred in the holy Quran
65 v 2-3 where Allah says: " And for those who fear Allah, He (ever) prepares a way out. And He provides for him from sources he never could imagine". With piety, all that a believer desires is achievable and sufficient: wealth, health, knowledge, guidance ease of affairs, happiness among others. In fact being in awe of Allah is the basis in which the above provisions can stand firm for a Muslim.

Dear Muslim brethren, I think all we all wish for is what Allah has promised in the verses quoted above and not to forget, Allah does not go back on His promise ! You go in accordance with his warnings, He fulfills all the promises made to you.
