As a rule, I hate pissing contests. I stay away from arguments with topics that start with superlatives.

I am however really worried about this country (aren't we all?). The primary source of my worry today is not the state of the economy or the antics of our so-called leaders. It's the average Nigerian youth I'm worried about. The average Nigerian youth is seemingly incapable of sustained logical or constructive thought. A thread on a statement by Afe Babalola about OBJ being Nigeria's best president today caught my attention, not because of the assertion itself, but because the full spectrum fallacies was on display once folks started contributing.

This is the thing: the identity of Nigeria's best president ever should be based on *facts*, not suspicions or unsubstantiated rumors. So here's my proposal: I want to create a thread where the achievements of each of our presidents since independence are listed. I will create a post for each president right after this , and from time to time, scan through submissions of others, to pick achievements to list under the appropriate individual. Consequently, a new visitor to this thread will meet a front page populated with the achievements of each of our presidents till date.

Let's see if we can make this lively.

Edit: by the way, you can also simply vote with likes, as I see some of you doing already. But please, do drop at least one achievement for me to collate.

Kindly state some of his achievements. Only one will do. On this thread, we will each have our opinions, but will let the facts speak.
