Despite your hatred for Amodu as SE coach. I never expected to say Mozambique qualified us for the World Cup. If one becomes to sentimental about an issue, he becomes blind to the facts.

Do you know that it was the draw against mozambique that gave Tunisia the two points lead the maintained until the last day?

Would you have said that Kenya qualified Tunisia if we had lost or drawn the last match?

Do you know that mozambique had to win their last match to guarantee them a place in the nations cup?

Do you realise that we all felt the Eagles were not good enough when they drew in Maputo? Perhaps we were thinking that the Tunisians were better because they had not been to Maputo until the last match.

Did mozambique do us a favour by adding their points to ours to help us qualify or did they intercede on our behalf to plead with CAF to increase our points by two?

I just dont understand this issue of favour and how rational football analysts make unjustifiable comments just because they want to deprive Amodu of the glory.

Analysis should be balanced

I do not think anyone who's truly a football fan will advocate for Amodu to be retained as SE coach.
First, his team selection lacked merit and purpose.wondering why a national coach would go to a nation's cup wit unfit players
secondly,Amodu lacks the technical skills to turn the table around when his team is under pressure from a purposeful opponent
Thirdly, l think the man is rather a political appointee who's just carrying out the 'masters' instruction.
Let Nigeria engage the service of a goal-getter who will delights the fans wit a purposeful SE

Amodu has finally been sacked.
THANK YOU EVERYBODY. THE ALMIGHTY GOD OF FOOTBALL HAS FINALLY HEARD OUR CRY.
NIGERIA IS A GREAT FOOTBALLING NATION, AND WE DESERVE THE BEST.
THERE IS NO SHAME IN SACKING A NON PERFORMING COACH.
NOW WE CAN TAKE THE NECESSARY STEPS IN ENSURING THAT THE BEST PLAYERS ARE GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY.
GOD BLESS NIGERIA, GOD BLESS NAIRALAND

Although Amodu has already left, we still need to be convinced that he must go:

1- Amodu just believes in luck. He lacks quality of a good coach; not technical, not tactical, and like his other Nigeria- made coaches, he is not well-trained for coaching.

2- He is bias or/and corrupt by using unskillful player when a skillful ones are on bench.

3- He lacks reading experiences: he can't read his own players talkless of opponent (players). This makes him
lack technical / tactical works on the pitch, especially when a game goes other way (tougher than expected).

All this with more, as reported, stubborn, does take advice, etc. He is not emotional and not tolerant. And none
of our home coaches is exempted from problem No.1 and 3.
