1. Exporters are expected to identify a buyer oversea and negotiate an export contract.

2. Once the negotiation of a contract is concluded, the exporter should commence bank transaction activity i.e. opening of an export domiciliary account, obtain Nigerian Export Proceed (NXP) Form and the identification of a carrier

3. Certification of the quality, Volume and Value by the appointed inspection agents (COBALT) should be carried out and the clean certificate of inspection(CCI) issued. The packaging of the goods can commence after the inspection.

4. Having completed bank transactions, identified carrier and satisfied the demands of the inspection agent, goods should be moved to the port of shipment for customs inspections and issuance of Single Goods Declaration (SGD) Form

5. After activity 4, the loading and eventual shipment of the goods can commence

6. With completion of export, proceeds are to be lodged in the exporter's domiciliary account with any commercial bank in Nigerian within the stipulated time of 90 days .
