Congrats! Please can you give me the format of the withdrawal mail and the address you sent it to? I want to withdraw my study permit application and focus on my PR application since they haven't answered me yet. My profile was updated to review of eligibility yesterday and since classes are starting September 5, I wonder if everything will click in time. My best bet now is to focus on and submit my PR application.

Since they're reviewing your application, just wait till like end of the month I'm sure you'll get a reply before then. Mine didn't change at all and that's why I withdrew. But if you still wish to withdraw, send a mail to accra.immigration@international.gc.ca with subject "URGENT- I wish to withdraw my application" and also submit a case specific enquiry ( CSE Also known as Webform)

Hello gurus in the house. I have a situation here that needs your attention. I have 6 million naira as fixed deposit in my name and in one of my account and I just have 500k sitting in my savings account. My tuition fee is around 6 million too. Can I apply with the fixed deposit account statement or I have to deposit the money in my savings? Will it pull through?

Please your advise is needed.

Will it pull through? No, it wont pull through if your worry is with only finance. You have to show proof that u can cater for your tuition plus living expense for a year which is 10,000 cad minimum.

Good evening house. Please I have a question I want to ask. Is it a good idea to contact cic reminding them about one's application and that he's scheduled to resuming classes on the 5th of September.

I applied for TRV on the 15th of May and up till now, I'm yet to get any update from cic. I am thinking that sending them a letter may actually remind them about my application and perhaps, prompt them into looking at it even though I may not get a reply from them.

Secondly, have their been anybody, or does anybody know someone who has had any form of misrepresentation and was later given a visa to go to Canada?

I would like to know, and let other readers know as well. Because In my own mind, I don't think having an issue of misrepresentation rules out one's chances of being issued a TRV, especially when one addresses the letter being sent to them cic.

Thank you.

Thank you for your response. But I thought if I show a proof of one year and living expenses then I am good to go? The amount quoted is the full tuition fee for two years. On the other hand, do you suggest that having the money fixed is not a show of available funds?

Thank you once again.

I applied for visit Visa from Accra and sent them email to inquiry why my application has taken so long. They replied that they have so many applications at the moment so they are processing one after the other on first come first served basis. I guess you should wait a little longer. Your letter may have no influence on the processing time. My opinion.

You did not submit SOP, transcripts and educational certificates? I see a lot of approvals like this, it's like every time someone stands out by doing the unthinkable, CIC approves. I see a trend, but don't try it.

@matic12, Of course man, having scholarship from school, even full scholarship these days to CIC is appearing to mean nothing. They are requiring even those on full scholarship to show that they can independtly foot their entire educational bills should God forbid they loose the offer. I was helping someone from NL yesterday with full scholarship who was denied on the grounds of insufficient funds. I kid you not. The person is even probably reading this post. This is a sad day in our country's history, terribly unfair for Canada to be doing this to Nigerians. Other countries, someone with full scholarship gets a red carpet welcome as should be.

yeah u r good to go if the amount covers tuition for one year plus living expenses. However, if you're self sponsored applicant then it will be advisable to show proof of funds for the total duration of course.

On the issue of fixed account...it is a proof of funds but the amount must reach maturity prior to resumption.

those jackets are quite weighty to carry.... You will need to pay 50 pounds for excess baggage(royal air Maroc)... I'll advice you just get warm clothes while you can get the winter jacket in Canada

My thoughts though...
Reasonable....but if money is really a challenge...kuku wear the jacket to the airport or hold am for hand. Try to wear your heaviest clothing on you...at least you won't be weighed
