Humblemoi, I have a question.

In a situation whereby one's application is around 14weeks now and no update yet aside the biometrics, considering that school is technically resuming tomorrow, do you think it was appropriate for me to send a mail to the address you dropped here for us without thinking i am desperate?

Cos right now, I just want to know what is up with my application.

Hi @yomcy2016,

Current application processing time for applicants in Nigeria is 14 weeks. i can only suggest you raise a CSE asking for an update on your application as school is about to resume. It will further be helpful, if you are in a tight corner regarding fees pending a deadline, or in between making a serious decision. If that isn't the case here, i'd suggest be patient, once deadline for resumption is past, you may wish to defer, request a new letter of admission and raise a CSE and hope, that they once again review your application during this time.

Moreso, please request a GCMS note, to know the true state of your application.

Cheers

With this information you have, Google should be your friend. After that, u can list the schools and programs u came across that accepts the qualifications u have. Then after u can come and ask if someone on here is at your chosen school and their experiences. U also need to keep an open mind. If you don't help yourself , nobody on here will help u. People are hot here expecting news from cic or preparing to begin classes or putting themselves together for new applications. Nobody will have the time to do your work for you. Make Google your friend, keep an open mind and read from the thread from the beginning. U just might find your answer.

My fellow faceless moniker in a forum with faceless pple, good afternoon sir/ma.

Pls dont mind my humorous introduction towards your question, the forum is kind of bored with no response and late denials. Although, we thank God for the few who were granted.

Nevertheless, your question is as easy if only you can do yourself a favour by visiting page 0 of this thread and make proper use of Google. Nobody is being paid to do research for anybody over here but we all came here to learn and correct our mistakes if anyone arises.

Kindly visit page 0 and if possible read the previous thread and you will find it very easy to do.

Hi, I'm also coming to Concordia University in Winter, do you know the time frame to expect admission decision from the school? thanks
I believe you should hear back from them anytime from now. Cos admissions are usually granted to international students at least 3 to 4 months before school resumes, cos they are aware that the student needs CAQ (Which takes roughly 20 business days) as well as Visa (Whose duration can be sometimes "undefined" ).

Also, the admission is processed as First in, First Out! When did you apply?
I would advise, if you don't hear back at the end of the week or early next week, kindly reach out to the Graduate Advisor of your department, or the Admissions office. All the best!

Good morning House, Happy Celebrations in advance to us all

My question this morning is this; If my school doesn't differ and CIC hasn't made a decision on my application till date whiles school's resumption and without grace of delay or deferment is Sept 5, 2017. I'm just curious, suppose I'm lucky to later hear from CIC to a positive note, which I believe I would be asked to tender a new offer letter from my school which I don't have.

Would it be possible to send CIC a new offer letter of a different school but a similar Program.

Thanks for your responses

In under 2 hours, this question has been repeatedly asked! Bros, calm down na. Most people that can help are either busy with one thing or the other but once the 'gurus' show face, they will answer you.

Well, in their absence, let me try.

CIC will request for a new 'START' date and not necessarily a new offer letter. Meaning a new start date for the current offer you applied with.

If you have a new offer from a different school, you will have to reapply with that because the information provided on the application form has Information on the offer letter you applied with. Processing and review of your study permit is based on that( UCI, funds, program etc).

However, an advise will be to wait till you hear from CIC. If they request for a new start date, i believe your school will come up with something for you to finalize your study permit. The evidence of a positive outcome if a new start date is shown will make them revise your current offer. So let CIC reach you first before you proceed.

Bro, your delay has a lot in it. You really would need you GCMS file especially to understand how the officer surmised the issue of your 'misrepresentation' since the procedural fairness letter wasn't sent to you prior to the refusal or was it?

Also, if you were welcomed to reapply, then the best thing to do is to get your GCMS file before you even proceed with other aspect because that issue of misrepresentation will play a major role in the review of your re-application. There is a case of overall genuineness of your intent as well as integrity and truthfulness of your information and documents. You need your file first.

More reason you need your GCMS file. What an officer concludes on your file is archived and used as reference for future review. Only a federal court of Canada can nullify that conclusion and direct that a new application be reviewed without reference to the GCMS case file.

A quick advice bro/ma'am, include in your visa application that you are married and your spouse will stay back to take care of things. Back it up with marriage certificate and pics if possible. This will jack up the possibility of your TRV approval.
