johnsonm2g:I see no issue here. In as much as you used a different sponsor in your previous application, it doesn't mean you can't use another. Proceed with your bank statements and that of your dad. CIC will be ONLY interested in funds available to you and your access to it. Your new application will be treated as a new one and must meet the requirements. There is no contradiction and there will be no need to explain anything to them. You have a new sponsor in your dad and yourself. It is even advisable you go with this sponsorship. It is reliable. Officers are more interested in your access to funds and how reliable your sponsor is to meet the responsibility. The closer they are to you, the better. You have no issue here. |

johnsonm2g:He can still be your employer but not your sponsor. So there is still nothing here that should be an issue. Fill exactly what you filed in your last application. This is why it is always advisable to be consistent with PROOF especially dealing with immigration issues. If the actually have filed your details in the GCMS database, it will be there for a long time and will be used as reference for other of your applications even when you get pass the study permit. So make sure your info are same, if there are any changes, back it up with proof. Like i mentioned about the sponsor, there is no issue in using a different sponsor after using another in an earlier application. 1 Like |

Mrking20: I will advice they visit any Canadian designated hospital or health centre in Nigeria to get their medicals done, cos not all hospital's medical report in Nigeria is acceptable. If they explain their selves to the health personnel in any of the designated hospital I think they should be able to help out... My thought though, you can also wait for other suggestions... Ire o |

Hello, Please inform I need your candid advice. I just checked my CIC account to know the update with my student visa application. I discovered that under the eligibility colum, I have been declared "not legible" for the course I applied for. Meanwhile, my letter of admission sates that the status of my admission is "UNCONDITIONAL " However, every other colum still states that I will be notified if a decision is taken. In all these, the column for final decision is still blank. Please tell me what do you make of this? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Arebo: 12:29am On Oct 01, 2017 |
irohak: Declared not legible ?? Or you do not meet the eligibility requirements, once the statement shows that, am afraid, that's not a positive news, from experience. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by yoshearer(m): 12:58am On Oct 01, 2017 |
abestine: But from the mail, a medical insurance is needed. I got a similar one when I visited Spain but be mindful that the health insurance duration would be the same duration of visit to be issued to your parents. You can contact AIICO insurance. Their insurance policies are recognized and instant online. For me, I don't think this is strange. 1 Like |

Mrking20: Makes perfect sense now. Yes medical insurance coverage if they have one from Nigeria too is fine. Better a Canadian one though. If I were you and I lived in Canada and was inviting my parents over, I'd get them insurance In Canada. Shouldn't be too much hassles. |

Arebo: Coming clean by saying he is the victim if ineffective assistance of an agent. You really don't know what the agent presented and the reason of denial. If it's a denial for lack of funds, I will just say the solution is easy as a change in sponsors. But you don't know all the details of what really went down, thus the reason to come clean and explain previous predicament and start on a blank slate. Agents have a bad reputation with VOs too and that is why they ask in a questionnaire whether you are been assisted by an agent. They always exercise grace to an applicant in a case where they had been ineffective or fraudulent assistance by an agent. But you have to come clean and tell them. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by jnyuwa02: 2:31am On Oct 01, 2017 |
Austinpee4: There is a need to come clean first by explaining discrepant information where the applicant works for government parastatal for 6 years, but an agent has stated that he works for a different organization A for five years. Only by coming clean and presenting a bonafide employment and financial status, can he stand a chance. A new application is not treated entirely as new one pretending a previous application was never made. The VO treating a new application will first need to know why a previous application was denied. That is why they make GCMS notes to stand as a focal point of reference. 2 Likes |

Austinpee4: The problems with lies is their endless need to cover one lie with another lie till you are caught. He is not his employer, why does he need to continue to say company A is his employer? Do we even know all the information the agent stated about this employer in previous application that could easily be contradicted in second application made by the applicant himself? The right advice is for the guy to come clean and say he is the victim of ineffective assistance. There is grace with VOs for people who claim ineffective or fraudulent assistance by agents. The grace is that the error would be forgiven and the new application would be treated on its own personal merits. 2 Likes |
