Steveobasi34: Very funny question. Sorry Sir/Ma, I don't mean to ridicule your question. It just sound funny to me. What I mean is, if I say it's a problem what will you do? And if I say It's not a problem what will you still do? Do you want to go and withdraw your application? Or you want to send the other 3months via the conventional email account? I believe you knew it was supposed to be 6months before applying and now you want to give yourself High BP or you just want to hear what we are going to say? As for me, my simple advice is keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best since I 'think' it's a deliberate attempt from you. Hope for the best and always tell it to God in prayer. My thoughts!! 3 Likes |

Guys I really love what is happening here. Some group of young men who are determined to make a legitimate living in Nigeria trying to help themselves without even seeking for anything in return. I pry to God we all succeed and later come back to take back our country from the crooks that have taken over the whole place. God will bless all our our genuine struggles and thanks to all the guys who make out time to share their genuine thoughts and candid advise here. You guys inspire me. 4 Likes |

jacksonyito: This is a gargantuan task, but all purposes stated can de defeated through a deftly written SOE. Perhaps your former written explanation as to why you have chosen Canada was not convincing enough. Your 'Why Canada' subtopic needs to carry the day. You might want to school them on supply chain management in Nigeria and how it is inextricably tied with that of Canada; why you are the guy Nigeria must look to continue such hegemonic control. |

Nazor83: Amen to this. May God help all us oo!! May God help us get a good education and come back and be a light to our nation. Where Nigeria has suffered bad leadership, may we be a new crop of leaders who help turn the tide. 3 Likes |

Good day house. I thank you all for the great support here. I intend applying for my TRV once I get my acceptance letter from LAMBTON college for the Information technology professional program. My question to the house is. Is it safe to disclose that I have an elder brother in Canada who is yet to get his PR (he has already started his PR application but he won't be getting it until much later next year). lastly My dad is my sponsor but my brother would be paying my first & second semester tuition. |

guzenaira: Nice one! Just to add, @jacksonyito, in drafting your SOP, ensure you explicitly and strategically point out your desirables in Nigeria, you can extensively make some research about the current area(s) in your field and in Nigeria that you intend to be relevant in upon completion. Largely write about your prospects, problems you have identified, how you want to go about it and the significance of a degree from Canada, the content of your program in comparism to the one in Nigeria(you can pick 2 to 3 courses and discuss the difference in their research and framework components ) This will eventually mitigate against the officer's thought of you not pursuing similar program in Nigeria. You have a good profile but the officer is not convinced you would leave upon completion. The stronger your passion for Nigeria, how you intend to tackle it's enormous problems especially in your area (because this is where it would be easiest for you) and how well you lay down the things you have identified that need urgent solution, the better you would satisfy them that you will leave. Ensure your SOP is devour of ineptly written statements and especially generic ones, own the SOP, make it your tool and make it your own mind, brilliance and aspirations. The Officer would see through it. Don't beg, don't talk ill about Nigeria in any way,it would contradict all other statements of you wanting to come back. Nobody would want to come back to a country they are not passionate and patriotic about. This should be your pointer in completing your SOP. All the best. 9 Likes 2 Shares |

HELLO, everyone. please make you na help me o, I need advice, i applied to UofS UG for Chemical Engineering as a transfer student, I was given a conditional admission, I sent the required documents. but didn't have the money to pay the fees while i was waiting for the result of a scholarship I applied for, whose response was negative. the conditional admission letter stated that resumption was sept 6. not until then, I didn't give up trying to get support from people to get some of the fees. I didn't understand early enough that I was to start VISA application with the Conditional admission letter i was given. and so I kept on waiting for full admission letter, and a brief summary of this thread sounds like It takes 4-5 months for Visa processing. is there any advice u guys have for me about this? should I just apply to another school afresh this time? |
