OGISO are not from the skies as the myth has been busted. This 2000s, grow up.

Ogiso are Fulani wanderers that lied to EDO people that they are from the skies. That lie is good for the people in ancient times not in 2000s. They ruled Edo people brutally and some Edo people left and moved south and eastwards.

The last straw came when Ogiso ordered the beheading of a pregnant woman. The brave people of Edo rebelled against Ogiso rule. They sent emissaries to ILE-IFE to send them OBA as their ruler. Ife complied and sent Oranmiyan. He left Ilebinu (Benin) in disgust but EWEKA (Owo mi ka) his son later became the the new Oba after his father.

Edo people not only dethrone Ogiso, they prevented the head of the interim caretaker Ogiamien from usurping the throne.

It cannot be disputed that Yoruba and Edo are the same brothers. No need for squabbles.

The mistake Fulani made in other places like Oshogbo where they were driven back is coming with force.
