The shady grove was but a graveyard.
Therein, I sat lonesome as in a coffin to be interred.
The dusk, a bracing breeze was heralding.
My eyes then caught a sylph while spinning
Around, like the earth on its axis. Rubicund
Her face was, like a fresh tomato just ripened.

Her gait, like on a catwalk, I paused to behold.
And her frame made me tremble like a naked kid in the cold.
My mouth gaped open like the morning glory just ere noon.
Fixed I stood as a tree, watching her as she down
The lane like a voyaging ship, gradually disappeared.
"Go after her!" a stimulant from nowhere ordered.

I turned into a dog at that instance,
And like she was a fat bone, I covered the distance.
The supportive wind conveyed me like a feather,
And I became sweat-clad like an ice container.
My love for this sylph, as I neared her, became stronger,
Like that 'tween two magnets being drawn closer.

Lion-heartedly, I approached her about my feelings,
And ere long, we were like two mating frogs, cudddling.
Like a watered blaze, our honeymoon halted abruptly,
I exitted the romantic dreamland untimely.
My eyes opened. Mocking me were the rays of the sun.
All my efforts wasted, my quarry gone!
