captleonerd: The Scots moved a motion for referendum in the scottish parliament in Edinburgh, not the British parliament in London If Igbos must move a motion in the Nigerian parliament for a referendum, then it must be in the same Nigerian parliament where Lugard moved a motion to create Nigeria. If Nigeria cannot provide that then it means that Nigeria is holding Igbos illegally since the Igbo nation was never notified of their inclusion into Nigeria. 4 Likes |

IgboSubmarine:This is Nigeria not the UK where things are done in a sane manner. The 2 cases are very different. You can not use propaganda to make the igbo man believe in one Nigeria. What Kanu stands for is bigger than him and even the igbos, the problem I have with the whole thing is that while Kanu is essentially a megalomaniac that ought to be ignored, there are other regions that also want to break away from Nigeria but have no one to openly spear head it on the level Kanu does for the igbos. The Nigerian government will not be able to withstand the overwhelming vote for the creation of Biafra should a referendum be conducted. There's also another major problem with Biafra - it is landlocked. Nigeria will totally seal off access to Biafra as is the case of Sudan and South Sudan. Biafra will be dead on arrival should it ever become reality, but then Kanu is smart and is courting the Niger Delta to be part of Biafra for water access but that's not an entirely smart move and he knows it - Niger Deltans will rather have their own country than be part of Biafra. In the least, as Biafra is being created, Niger Delta Republic must also be created for Biafra to exist and excel for the prosperity of all Biafrans. |

Billyonaire:It's like U are the only person getting it here. U really understand this thing. The world will not step in until there is some kind of large scale massacre and fight for ownership of resources. That's is why the only two countries to secede in Africa did not secede without war. South Sudan and Eritrea fought for more than 20 years before being granted referendum, Kanu thinks he will just be in his house relaxing and the Nigerian government will just do it for him like that |

captleonerd: We are not moving it in the senate or parliament because Nigeria was not created in any parliament or senate. |

Cyynthia: Afraid? Don't be fooled babe. If they conduct it, you will cry foul again becos it will be rigged. Computer can turn black to white before your very eyes and you will be amazed. For me, I think the slowness to this issue is because we don't have a president to decide voting or silence kanu by force. You are shouting oduduwa becos igbo started it. No national head |

Jethrolite: There is no single agitation out there for any Niger Delta Relublic so that one is dead in the water. Let me just assume that Biafra is about Igbos and Igbo speaking people. The Igbos stretches into Benue, the Benue Igbos or Umueze Okoha people, the Ika-Igbo people sometimes called Anioma or Delta Igbos in Delta state and the Rivers Igbos such as Asa, Ndoki and Ikwerre as well as the Ika-Igbos of Edo state or Igbanke. If all these Igbo elements are gathared together as Biafra then Biafra is not landlocked Even if Biafra was just the so called 5 Igbo states, it would be landlocked but still have access to the Sea because Onitsha in Anambra, Oguta in Imo state and Obuaku in Abia all have Rivers that run directly into the Athlantic Ocean. There is already a River port in Onitsha. So the issue is not being landlocked but having access to the Sea. 1 Like |

A gang of so-called lawyers in Anambra state working to have Obiano re-elected have petitioned nearly God against IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu. The gang wants the UN and even Europeans who own English language to start to interprete the word "boycott" to mean "interrupt." What a silly set of lawers. This gang of self-centred persons deeply compromised the interests and even the lives of majority of Igbo population in Nigeria. Majority of Igbo population, including other non-Igbos are most likely to say yes to Biafra restored in a referendum. But these lawyers acted for their parochial interest. |

You'll be shocked how so many people will ignorantly vote for Biafra. This is widely because of hearsay and what they've been fed with on social media. Till date, so many people advocating for biafra no not exactly what they're clamoring for. 1 Like 1 Share |

IgboSubmarine: If one pierces through your claims one would find emptiness. 1. There is no real meaning behind Hausa Fulani internal colonism. Rather bigotry towards the multi diverse North. If you were asked which Hausa Fulani is oppressing you, you wouldn't have a response. 2. Deep research shows that Fulani herdsmen crisis is a symptom of a larger problem. There is a high population density with fewer lands free from cultivation and the nomadic method of raising cattle is unviable. The old ways which had worked for centuries before now are lost in the new age. No leader has sought to address the issue which has triggered this present crisis. 3. What's wrong with a unitary system? Besides Nigeria runs a federal system. Now if it is lopsided in favor of the central govt it still doesn't make it unitary. 1 Like |

Ouduwa won't come by writing it on nairaland, you need to come out on the streets to be killed in numbers, only then will anybody take you serious. |
