Back in 2010/2011 when the pdp was the ruling party under rotimi amaechi in Rivers, wike threw himself to the ring for the position of senate,he boasted that he will win the primaries against thomson sekibo by a landslide.This ambition died when mrs patience jonathan influenced amaechi to prevail against wike,soon after wike became a junior minister. Now wike is a Governor from obio/akpor, Amaechi a minister from ikwerre and most recently sen Andrew I. Uchendu from emohua are all from ikwerre extraction. Many have assumed that these is delibrate considering that wike faced a weaker candidate(dakuku) who was imposed on their pary despite having force like magnus abe. Andrew uchendu had lost his ward and local govt,he was least expected to win after loosing in almost all local government. Ameachi wants to continue these phenomenon as he is seen resisting Magnus Abe who many knows is a great force to reckon with in Rivers politics
