these biafrans would have gotten their wish easily during the time of Gej. with a weak president, weak and demoralized army and with their political influence in that government, Biafra would have been achieved on a platter of gold.

Nah.
Boko Haram could do this because - for the most part - their struggle is ideological and driven by religion.

Niger Delta militants were largely driven by abundant opportunities to bunker oil. Pl us they had their finger on the lifeblood of the nation, giving them massive leverage.
Neglect Sesesionists at your own peril

IPOB doesn't have the ability to drastically impair oil exports. The Biafra struggle for many does not run anywhere near as deep as the Boko Haram credo, and they can count on far smaller levels of support.
All they'll succeed in doing is to prevent any sane investor from investing in the region.

It'll be interesting to see where IPOB goes from here...

Bethel, you know the truth. Even your Governors are against BIAFRA and they believe in One Nigeria. I suppose they are the highest unity beggers. I know common sense is not common but Take a clue from your Governors and Learn.

NO TO IPOB. They are Terrorists and the Unity of Nigeria is not Negotiable, not even with Terrorists.
the unity of Nigeria is negotiable.

They blame him for everything, they blame GEJ even for their inability to lead the nation well for the past two years yet it is all his projects they are commission and taking too for everywhere.

A very satanic administration indeed seeking for young people's blood to devour.

In as much as there may be a need to enforce order, there is a greater need to reinforce our humanity and treat Nigerian citizens humanely whether they be from the North or South. Nothing justifies the desecration and destruction of religious places of worship or a police station. But even more so, nothing justifies the endangering of human life.

But the audacity and staying power is further enhanced when a Defence Force is not sufficiently well-projected. That's one reason you have supposedly "joint exercises" by NATO with South Korean and milparades by North Korea. Much of war is psychological. I doubt any IPOB member will ever again attempt to disarm a Nigerian soldier whether male or family now that it has been shown clearly what the result is certain to be.

Reverse would be the case.
Ipob would now probably up their game by engaging in guerilla warfare and my earlier submission remains valid.
How come the killing of bokoharam leader had opposite psychological effect? The public killing of Yusuf in a police station sparked daredevil militancy in bokoharam movement. The killing rather than weaken their spirit, ignited a wave of support unseen in Nigerian history.
