I'm really not understanding what's happening here. Soon after the attack, Kanu's brother said he knows where Kanu is but wouldn't disclose it to the public. Also, after the Army declared Ipob a terrorist group this same lawyer said that he has been "briefed" by his client Kanu to challenge the declaration. So if he was taken aware by the army how then was he briefed? Oga lawyer u are getting something wrong; Kanu need not be in court for the issue of his sureties can be addressed by the court. In fact his non appearance in court makes it easy for the court to conclude that he has jumped bail. The only way of escape is to bring concrete evidence that he was actually taken away by the Army. As it is, it's either the Army or the Lawyer is lying as to the whereabout of Kanu. The truth can't be hidden for ever. Na the sureties I just dey feel for. 3 Likes |

Okuda:Let's just hope the army doesn't have a good defence cos they can argue base on the incidence leading to the invasion. This is Nigeria. That's why the move straight for the proclamation of ipob as a TERRORIST GROUP. That's where the argument starts from. I iray and hope kanu counsel learn fast or atleast they should have a new counsel cos that guy already shows lots of inconsistency. |

Factional leaders of boko haram are Buhari's loyalists. Buhari and APC wants to kill freedom of speech and expression so that IPOB will not exposes his involvement with boko haram and Fulani herdsmen terrorists that has been killing farmers and destroying host communities who are now internally displaced people(IDPs). |

Willybos:I chose to o quote u, maybe because ur comment is the least sensible and also one of the comments that reeks of hate and therefore is bound to generate lots of reactions. Now let me say what I think. If nnamdi KANU is in hiding, he would have released a video to let his misguided followers know that he is still in the game. He would have spoken to the world to try to gather more pity or support. Even shekau, with his international wanted status, still releases videos from time to time, saying what ever he wants to be heard. I actually feel that guy might not be alive. Who killed him, I can't say |

Donning my conical Deductive Reasoning Cap, after reading between the lines of what Kanu's lawyer has to say about his client's magical disappearance, I submit this logical interpretation of the learned gentleman's formal statement, based on KNOWN facts, and published statements. 1. Kanu's lawyer has confirmed that he spoke to Kanu in real time, while the latter was IN his father's house when armed troops were breaking down the doors of his refuge, and laying down heavy covering-fire to keep witnesses at bay, on that day two weeks ago. 2. Since there have been no reports about the discovery of an escape tunnel through which Kanu could have fled the troops in Ghadaffi style, it is now known for CERTAIN that Kanu was inside that house when its access doors were eventually broken down by the federal troops. 3. Assuming Kanu was found when the soldiers entered his father's house, the standing mission orders issued to those troops would be EITHER to arrest Kanu, OR, to kill Kanu and then spirit away his body for secret burial, laving no witnesses to whatever action was to be taken. 4. The Nigerian government's formal declaration is that Kanu is NOT under arrest, but is in flight to evade arrest due to bail-condition violations. 5. Declaring Kanu WANTED, rather than reporting him as being under arrest, means that Kanu was not OFFICIALLY placed under arrest. 6. If the official government stand is that Kanu escaped the army dragnet, and is wanted by law enforcement agencies, then it is NOT possible that the government will later contradict itself and disclose that all along Kanu was languishing in detention. Such a contradiction would invite costly litigation, against the government, along with international condemnation for the illegal arrest by a democratically elected government. 7. IF Kanu had indeed escaped as claimed by the government, then he would most certainly have released statements from his hiding place, in keeping with the antecedents of Kanu's inherent and compulsive publicity-seeking nature. 8. With the government denial Kanu's arrest by soldiers who invaded his house WHILE HE WAS THERE, it is safe to assume that Kanu was either UNOFFICIALLY arrested for secret execution without trial at a later place and time, OR, was killed on sight by the soldiers who invaded his house, before packaging the body or bodies for secret disposal far away from the location of the killings, taking care to shoot all living witnesses who might otherwise film or report details of that final sanction. 9. Logically, therefore, a firm conclusion can be drawn NOW, that Kanu has been killed, as a matter of absolute certainty, either simultaneously with his father at home, or later, at the hands of battle-hardened troops who took him away incognito on that fateful day. 1 Like |

notttty:why didn't the military allow him to appeare in court. No reasonable man that should blame kanu, even if he is hidding how many times will kanu be discharged by court before u will know that he cannot indulge in anything illegal, and hence cannot be jailed by the Nigerian government. He is too brave to be afraid of appearing in court. If at all he is hinding, he will be exonerated, because u can't expect him to fold his arms and watch the military on illegal duty to kill him. If the military had succeeded in killing him, they would have come up with a useless investigation, which would have ended in labeling the killers unknown soldiers. Nnamdi kanu is teaching bubu and his dumb advisers a big lesson. |
