Eziachi:

Does this guy has something like a town hall meetings with members of his contituents at all? If he does, I will presume he bring someone to decode this foolishness to them, because I personally has no idea what the guy is talking about.

I will seriously pay to watch this guy go through a job interview, as that will be quite a viewing. What a clown!!
Only in Nigeria. Someone on this thread has even said that he celebrates the guy. What else is new?

I can envisage a scenario now of him asking his wife for a glass of Hydrogen mixed with two molecules of oxygen, also known as AQUA while he is already choking/dying on his peppered food, while his wife is running around the neigbourhood looking for a proffesor on nonesensical grammar to decode for her what her husband is demanding, instead of him simply asking for a glass of water.

Andre Uweh:

I think there should be a vocabulary contest between Patrick, Kosovo and Dede1. Who do you think will win?.

I dont think so. While these jaw-breaking words are common with him , I think it is still easy to get the crux of whatever he is saying. You can check again.

I doubt most of his constituents are able to understand him going by the relatively low ratio of literates in Nigeria. How can he reach out to such folks that can barely speak or understand English talk less of his infrequent use of Latin. His language is obscure and needlessly complicated.
Re: Why I Speak Big Grammar - Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon by DisGuy: 5:44pm On Mar 07, 2010

Patrick,Edo State,
Chris Okotie,Delta State.
Both Bendel.

Its a shame that even with the blessing of Lord Lugard,no aboki up north
can deposit us into portmanteau of connudruim like the Bendel scholars.

He really has toned down his grammer.

I first heard this guy speak in 1992 while he was contesting an election to the oreda local government legislature.

Whatever happened to our ABC's (Accuracy,Brevity & Clarity) I think Honorable Patrick should listen to some of the greatest orators from the days of Martin Luther King to Barrack Obama. All these thunderous language is still an aspect of the nigerian mentality the 'my mercedes is bigger than yours mentality'.We love big houses, big cars, big shots big vocabs.Everything has to be big or it aint Nigerian

Patrick Obahiagbon might have passed through Kosovo.
He might have been a former pupil of Kosovo's school.
Whatever the case, he should be grateful to Kosovo for enriching him with those big words.

I am very happy to have known Patrick Obahiagbon personally. He is a wonderful person and the only genuine peoples representative among the politicians out there.
K***pat, keep up the good work!

Most people making negative posts here need to follow Nigerian politics more closely. Lets not forget that he was the very first PDP man to shout out about the political miasma surrounding the Yar'Adua palavar.
Patrick Obahiagbon is one politician that always speaks up for the common man, he deserves praise.

Nobody is assasinating his character we all know he's a tard better than most.We just have issues with all that highly ornamented grammar,it's so uneccessary.

Lol. . .the funniest thing I have ever seen pertaining to Bombast in the Assembly also
came from an Edo man that is not called Obahiagbon.I saw it a few years ago, but
could never quite recall his name.
It was on the popular ''Focus Nigeria'' as well.

But then, a few days ago, when they were debating the crisis in the
Edo house of Assembly, lo and behold, a familiar face and voice came
back to me. . . . .  . .His name apparently is Honourable Buraimoh.

He appeared on Aruleba's show to discuss some crisis in the PDP
at the time. The last panelist to make a contribution, it soon became
clear he had been itching for a bit. The episode went thus:

Gbenga: Honourable, what do you make of the crisis in your party.

Buraimoh: The crisis in the party is nothing more than a loquacious sycohantic
enterprise, a didactic deprecation of the political will of a segment of the party,
a parasitic adventure intent on decaying the preponderant goodwill of our organisation. . .

Gbenga: Honourable, please can you tone down the english a bit. .

Buraimoh: (pause). . . . this is the cultivation of a political carrion, the marzipan
on the machination of a cannibalistic core determined to excoriate the success of our
organisation. An attempt to approbate and reprobate, a subterfuge of colossal proportions,
a dance of the politically macabre, a subteranean deception. (pause)
IT MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN.

Gbenga and rest of panel I think Hausa sat silent before Gbenga regained his composure,

Funniest thing I ever saw   grin grin grin grin
