Nigeria and the Oyo State government was visibly represented at the 37th edition of the Gitex Technology Week held at the Dubai World Trade Center over the week.

This comes on the heels of moves made by both the FG and OYSG to maximize the gains of technology in governance. The Safe City Project and an ongoing collaboration between the two to launch a state of the art technology incubator to be managed by private sector organizations and supported by international tech accelerators, are part of such moves.

Nigerian technology startups like Soft Alliance showcased how the country is riding on the wave of smarter solutions; and the Special Adviser to the Oyo State governor on ICT, Mr Niyi Ajao also facilitated potential collaborations with innovation accelerators present.
