The Nigerian government can only and has always been brought to the negotiation table by massive and comprehensive industrial actions. Think about what would happen when NUPENG, PENGASSAN, NLC, TUC and the like embark on a crippling strike. I've come to understand that worthwhile demands can only be pressed home in this country when strikes happen. The doctors, the lecturers, the fuel tanker drivers strikes had brought made difference no matter how small or negligible. Recently meat and vegetable sellers embarked on strike because of crazy levying and people are beginning to listen to them. I simply recommend full strikes as what will make the government pay attention to whatever the demands of the Nigerian people are. Do you think the power situation in the country wouldn't have improved at least a bit if NLC agitated by calling for just 2 days strike? As much as you criticise or call my suggestion dumb, drop your own solution to this political impasse.

True strike is more effective in nigeria, politicians just ignore peaceful rallies

Of what use would the rallies be when they don't record any change? Strike, strike, strike! They'll surely listen.
