The Nigerian Corporate  Social  Media  Practitioners  Forum  is the body for Nigeria Social  Media  Professionals  and Corporate  brands that operate basically on Social  Media. 


The administrators of the body in  a press release signed by the Director-General, Olanrewaju  Oyedeji said "The upsurge in the use of Social Media over the years cannot be underemphasized, it is noteworthy  that Social Media is a platform  beyond chatting as it has become source of daily livelihood for many". 


Olanrewaju  who has written books on Social media and led Social  Media campaigns said the Need for professionals who use Social media to come together cannot be underemphasized "Let me state that  while the social  Media has become a platform to promote Democracy and give  a Voice to all putting professionalism into its activities would improve standards of those who have found Social  Media  as their job,we have many Social Media  managers out there who get a reduced pay because of the believe that managing Social  Media  platforms may not be that difficult, the creation of this body will help to give more credibility to social media professionals in the society too". 


Olanrewaju  also highlighted that the impact of Social Media in helping the world to achieve her Sustainable developmental goals cannot be underemphasized "It should be noted that truly we have these SDG goals out there but we need to achieve them also through social Media, many persons don't know that yes we can create massive employment through social media, we can ensure more peace in the world and we can make ensure more respect for human rights, that which the forum aims to achieve through the body gradually ". 



Olanrewaju  also noted that the forum will create avenues to work with organizations, parastatals, Government ministries  to Syndicate  press releases  through social media and encourage professional use of the Social Media.
