I'm saying this because of the guys, I haven't been in a relationship with any Yoruba girl before, but the guys I did business with are straight forward, nice, hardworking and selfless to an extent (something not easily seen in business nowadays).

I remember when I wanted to register a business, this particular Yoruba guy took out his time, money (airtime) and energy to guide me through it all without going through a lawyer or an agent...He didn't ask for a penny. And you know what? I haven't met him before, we got to know each other through a WhatsApp group.

I can count many examples of these level of kindness I personally experienced and will not be able to list them here.(odi otutu)

If you're highly empathic and an introvert, you will understand what it means to meet genuine people in places you never expected.

Note: I'm proudly an Igbo boy, hence by virtue of being a Nairalander, a Igbo with tendency to call an Afonja all sorts.

This won't stop future bashing though, cos most often than not, it's fun and makes this place lively.

I guess I will have to find out if Afonja ladies are as kind and nice as their brothers, till then..I'm signing out and saying thumps up to our Afonja brothers.

Good luck, but if you must know the truth then this is what the Bible says about inter-tribal marriages.

GENESIS 24: 1-6

2 One day Abraham said to his oldest servant, the man in charge of his household, “Take an oath by putting your hand under my thigh. 3. Swear by the Lord, the God of heaven and earth, that you will not allow my son to marry one of these local Canaanite women. 4 Go instead to my homeland, to my relatives, and find a wife there for my son Isaac.”

GENESIS 28

28 Isaac called Jacob and blessed him and commanded him, “You must not marry a Canaanite woman. 2 Go to the house of Bethuel, your mother’s father, in Northwest Mesopotamia. Laban, your mother’s brother, lives there. Marry one of his daughters.

Finally,
"Do not be unequally yoked..."
2 Corinthians 6:14

Lol,that's nice,am proudly Yoruba but on a serious note its high time we start seeing people as human first rather than Yoruba,Ibo or hausa. Anybohdy could have done you that favour. As much as I love you praising my tribe, its comment like this that brings about comparison and discrimination against tribes. Do not be surprised if you meet another Yoruba guy tomorrow and they dissapoint you
