Nollywood star actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, a.k.a. Omo Sexy led other notable personalities in Abuja this afternoon to protest recent developments in the country.

The protesters, including Charly Boy, Ovation magazine publisher, Dele Momodu, Stella Damasus-Nzeribe, Muma Gee and Six Foot Plus among others, stormed the National Assembly complex, Abuja to register their displeasure with current happenings in the country.

Combat-ready armed regular and mobile policemen and other security agents however, tried to stop the protesting youths from entering the National Assembly but they succeeded in forcing themselves in through the main gate.

The protesters slept on the ground and barricaded the entrance to the assembly. The police had a hectic time trying to prevent them from breaking through the security cordorn. The youths were poised to scale the last gate to enter the chambers of the National Assembly even as the police were threatening to shoot them.

As at the time of going to press, there was no movement into the assembly.

The protesting youths under the aegis of Enough is Enough, made up of a coalition of individuals, organizations and collectives were seen singing in front of the gate.

“Open the gate for us, we want to see our honourable,” they chorused.

Before the protesters arrived the entrance of the National Assembly complex, Abuja, security was beefed up with Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC), policemen and other security personnel.

Nigerians should understand that this is what we need.Once our leaders sees that we are no longer ready to keep mute while they ruin the nation, they will sit tight. Kudos to them for registering their protest.
