MikeZA: Yes, grin grin grin grin grin. It is now mandatory for all SANDF communication systems to be compatible with MIL-STD Link-ZA.

Show us what SANDF has achieved with it's data-link.

Nigerian navy/air force data-link has been relaying pirate ships data from platform to platform online-real time 24 hours a day all over the gulf of Guinea including your Angolan SADC area of influence leading to the arrest of many pirate ships in international waters .

South African military data-link has surely broken down due to maintenance problems and lack of funds....even soldiers are being retrenched today.

@AUGUSTUS READ :Nigerian Army Unable To Retake Damboa From Boko Haram

One security source disclosed that a contingent of soldiers was sent to search for the helicopter in Bulabulin. “They found the helicopter and destroyed it,” said the source, adding that the helicopter had a strange red marking in its underbelly. He suggested that the aircraft was brought down by artillery fire. Two members of its crew were found alive and evacuated.

Nigerian soldiers have made three futile attempts without being able to retake the town of Damboa in Borno State that was captured recently by members of the Islamist insurgent group, Boko Haram, two military sources have told SaharaReporters.

Over the last few days, Nigerian military officials had proclaimed that a contingent of Nigerian troops was heading to Damboa to wrest Damboa township from Islamist militants who seized it and planted their flags in different locations.

Our sources said the Nigerian Army had made three major attempts to retake the town from Boko Haram, but pulled back each time because many soldiers seemed afraid to engage the fierce firepower of fighters of the dreaded terrorist sect.

Former residents of the town complained that they had not been able to go into the town to bury dead relatives and friends killed after Boko Haram overran Damboa, murdering more than 100 people before hoisting their flags in the town.

Last week, the Nigerian Army released a statement pledging that troops would be sent to retake the seized town. A few days later, the army revealed that an Air Force helicopter on a training mission in the area had crashed.

Enemy combatants are in those positions.

That makes them legitimate targets.

Again, Isreal is taregtting combatants and civilians are collateral damage.

The Nigerian army is clearly targeting civilians.

That is the difference

When CNN showed Israeli artillery k.lling thousands of civilains, yet the Israelis continue the bombardment....you call that collateral damage?

What will you say if Nigerian Bofors FH-77 artilley is turned on Damboa village to level the place to rubble...both Boko Haram and the civilians that offered them free accommodation willingly?

The shelling of Damboa becomes collateral damage, right ?

Answer us...
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 5:40pm On Aug 05, 2014
patches689:

1. Prove civilians are being deliberately targeted - HAMAs uses those locations to fire missiles at isreal and stockpile munitions. This makes them legitimate targets. Isreal targets the militants, munitions and missiles.
2. There is video evidence.
3. Your argument is "Isreal [supposedly] does it, so its OK for us to do it" - illustrates the lack of moral compass nigerians have

Nigerian army has shown better respect for civilians than Israel. Well I still like Israel for fighting against terrorism, but....

Israeli army has the best infantry soldiers in this world based on their war history from Moses, Joshua, David, till today modern human history today.

Israel knows how to send in foot soldiers to pick out Hamas rocket launches with the help of MOSSAD Intel spies and airborne drones, but instead, Israel chose to use heavy artillery to mass murder every living thing inside Gaza including new born babies....you justify that, right ? What if your family is in Gaza or you were born there?

MikeZA: From the statement: "Much as the scenes depicted in these videos are alien to our operations and doctrine". Meaning those are Nigerian soldiers. Your military spokesmen playingdown how often such acts are committed by your military.

It means that behaviour is Alien to this military. It is not an act carried out by it's personnel, the same thing I've been saying all afternoon.

BH is killing civilians. That is a boko-haram tactic.

No the evidence is saying one thing- as confirmed by an independent NGO

You are the one who is unable to:
1. Provide any evidence to suggest it is fake
2. Provide any counter argument

Hence, you are saying the same thing over and over.

*when did the nigerian military begin using chinese TYPE 56C? I spotted a Type 56C in that video by a person in uniform. It is not a rifle used by the military.

So your soldiers are terrorists now?

The civilians are terrorists?

Tell me... Just who are the terrorists? Those having their necks slit open and thrown into a trench? How can a man be guilty of a crime if he has had no trial to prove his guilt?

But keep trying to cover your bases "either those men are BH pretending to be NA, or those civilians are terrorists who deserve it"

It just shows us all, quite clearly, that you know what you have seen is clear evidence of NA committing war crimes

"SAPS had made several attempts to get residents to vacate the buildings for major structural upgrades.

“The condition of the official quarters poses a serious danger to anyone residing or using the buildings. Unless immediate steps are taken to save the buildings, they may collapse and cause harm to life, limb and property,” it said.

It stated that no other alternative official accommodation was available in the Durban area. The 16-storey Natalia Court and five-storey Somtseu Court do not have lifts that work, raw sewage is spilling on to the playfield, deep cracks have appeared in the structures and water tanks are contaminated and outdated.

All four buildings have illegal tenants and have gained a reputation as being havens for prostitutes, druglords and foreign nationals."

This proves that the reason why we don't see horrible photos of rotten places in South Africa, is because your journalists don't photograph 99% of those places and post on free internet. South Africa is a rotten 3rd world country with Pigsty police barracks...enter there and vomit !
