but you once claimed that your government doesnt operate any business or investments?

@Evan, governments are non-profit making organisation. Whatever money that they acquire is revenues and it has to be exhausted by delivering neccessary services to the people

However, the government of SA is also involved in business through State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) which comprises, -Eskom, PIC which bought Dangote shares, Telkom, SAA, Sasol, etc. Here is a complete list: http://www.gcis.gov.za/content/resourcecentre/contactdirectory/government-structures-and-parastatals

Yet the government does not see these institution as businesses rather an operating hand that helps it to augment expenditure in infrastructure and to deliver tertiary services which are not basic in nature.

As current the government is spending $80 billion for three years which was made available by the government and SOEs.

The only person who appears to be clueless is you. Here is the extract from the source that I have posted.

Cape Town -The government and state-owned enterprises will spend more than R800 billion over the next three years on new power stations, road networks, dams and water supply pipelines, rail and ports facilities, schools, hospitals and government buildings, the Minister of Finance Pravin Gordhan has revealed in his Budget Speech.

It is clear that the SOEs are also involved in building infrastructure.

so you now admit that your government runs businesses?.anyway, that still doesnt explain where you intend to get $100b.

Any government will not like it if you ever make such comment that they are making business. Government enterprises are public and are not privately run to line the pockets of some few tycoons.

As you could see in the case of SA, their revenues will be collected to build infrastructure. The same way they will feed the bill to build the nuclear power station worth $100 billion.

Our government is not a banana republic. It has its own companies to run tertiary services to the people at a cost. Services which have been monopolised. The revenues that are made belong to the government of SA. So, tell me how is that business? SA is a mixture of social and free market system. In other words our country is run by communists and capitalists at the same time. Someone who has more money to pay for postage, electricity, telephone, etc is also indirectly paying for the medical bills and building the house of the poor. dummy.

Perhaps, Nigeria is a banana republic since it does not have perfect policies to regulate its revenue base.

You don't need to worry over what the news says on doesn't say! Talk is cheap! The same western news hounds consistently have portrayed the Camerounian army as more effective ... not so? How come they are now crying out for help from a lowly Chad? Make no mistake, we are operationally in-charge of the situation in the North East -- otherwise Cameroun would still have been comfortable and taking things easy. What you are seeing currently, is the impact of the NA pressing the insurgents hard ... leaving them on the run with no option but to find soft targets over the border in Cameroun while trying to cool-off.

NA is cracking down on the spineless insurgents and the result is what you see happening across in Cameroun. At ease!!

SA is not broke. Just only because they cannot fund for some military projects does not mean that the government of SA is broke. The only government in Africa which gives free medical insurance, pensions, houses and grants to its citizens every month non-stop. Nigeria does not have the capacity to do that. SA has SOEs which can fund for any project no matter how big it is and as well as large private sector which operate in Africa at large which also helps to relieve the government in its duties by funding for some projects.

We are the only country in Africa that has the infrastructure that meet the standards of developed countries. Fact!!!

So who is broke now? Nigeria or SA.

AFP and REUTERS posted the correct report, only Cameroon bagged Chad for military help in combat...same Cameroon that was boasting last week that they killed about 200 Bokos, now they are afraid of Boko Haram retaliation cheesycheesy

Baga is a border town and may have a Chadian segment. Chad cannot enter Nigeria without permission from Abuja. Invasion? Nigerian army artillery will reduce the whole Chadian army into charcoal from 15km to 45km away, MRLS, THA,and SPHA, no African country can pass through Nigerian artillery firepower, not even Algeria, only Egypt can survive it with counter battery fire. Who is Chad? They don't even have one single tank in their army.

Only Nigeria can stand alone to fight Boko Haram in West Africa.

See Cameroon that was laughing at Nigeria for years now, they see small Boko threat and President Biya is already down on his knees begging Chad and France for help with soldiers.

Where is that foolish Cameroonian girl that was boasting here last week that their military is better than Nigeria's?

LOL !!! You know cowards when the war enters into their bedrooms with RPG and 23mm cannon playing music inside their living rooms.

Even Chad, let Boko Haram enter N'djamena with 1,000 battle hardened Boko Haram men and equipment, Chad will beg France for help.

All those laughing at Nigeria, their own time of weeping and gnashing of teeth is coming one by one cheesycheesy
