..................................who built south africa ?

south africa was not built to its present status by the f.ools who form the majority there.

it is the minority white european immigrants and racist apartheid colonialists who are citizens of south africa that built the country's general infrastructure, socio-economic system, and technology with the help of their fellow white blood brothers in europe, done over a long period of more than 100 years with the hope that they will live in and rule over the black and coloured people of south africa for ever and ever.

these 5 million whites are the ones who used their white blood influence to transfer european standards, principles, systems and technology to develop south africa to its present level. they feed on the gold, diamonds, iron ore, copper and other mineral resources of south africa to enrich themselves and rob/enslave the blacks over the 100 years or so period of their colonization.

this is the only reason south africa is a better developed country than the rest of africa. simple truth.

the m.oronic and d.eemonic south africans we have on this thread (i exempt @andrewza) are not the class of people who built south africa, they are the parasite class who feed on what others cooked and reap where they did not sow, then boast about it.

the real heroes of south africa talk and reason differently, but they are the minority group that does the majority of the work and thinking that made south africa what it is.

let our nairaland south african parasites not boast that their 33% brain is hiding behind the curtain of the real educated, skilled, and industrious south africans who built the over 100 year old 'bridge' between their adopted country here in africa, and their original countries far away in europe.

all4naija is that you?

well @THIZA, sorry i have to dissappoint you again, about 90% of DENEL manufactured weapons are light weapons and those cannot win you a war against powerful countries like Egypt, Nigeria, Algeria, Ethiopia, and Morooco.

no competent military academy in the world will tell you that a country will defeat another in war just because it manufactures more weapons than the enemy. Ethiopia can fight and defeat South Africa without importing any more weapons today, because they have better soldiers and officers with many years battle experience ans unbeaten war records.

i want to settle this your matter finally today.

see my boy, war is won by heavy weapons and not all these small small DENEL toys like grenade launcher, R4 rfle, radar, ingwe missile, etc that you psot here. you need heavy firepower platforms like jet fighters, tanks, warships, submarines, and in this modern day a spy satellite which south africa does NOT have !

these heavy weapons are 'game changers' that determine who wins a war, and also depends on the quality of soldiers that operate and use them in combat.

DENEL does NOT manufacture any of south africa's heavy firepower weapon platforms except the G6 mobile artillery and you have only 46 pieces of it. how will that save you from Libya that has 210 Palmaria mobile artillery 3 years ago ?

the heavy weapons of south africa are all imported made in europe, i have posted it before and i wont repeat it again so get it now and be finally dissapointed, i am sorry sir.

Gripen jets....made in Sweden

Hawk Jets....British product, imported in parts, then assembled

Oryx Transport Helicopter .....French Puma imported and converted

Rooivalk Helicopter Gunship....French engine imported

Super Lynx Anti-Submarine helicopter......British product imported

Oliphant Tank....British Centurion Tank imported and upgraded

Badger IFV....Finland's Patria AMV product to be imported and maybe some assembled

Valour Frigate Warship....German product imported

Type 209 Submarine .....German product imported

now remove all this Europe made imported heavy weapons from south africa and Angola will defeat you in one week grin

see why i told you that south african military is not the strongest in africa just because DENEL and other companies manufacture some toy light weapons. the same way south africa imports all its heavy weapons listed above, the same way Algeria, Morocco, Ethiopia, and Nigeria also imports from overseas...all of us are in the same heavy weapons importation pot of pepper soup together now, haba...so how you go take beat us ? you get 2 heads ? grin

.

The list is endless!!! What about the fleet of Armoured and heavy vehicles, howitzers, bombs and missiles. Those are not small arms. Do you want me to list them for you.

Denel has no competition in Africa.

My friend, can't you atleast be corrected at once because what you have written above is just a piece of thrush from someone who doesn't have a slightest clue about Denel. Denel is a big company which is divided into many subsidiaries, such as Land system, Aviation, Munitions, etc. I have picked up where you ignorantly claimed that 90% of Denel's products are light weapons, that is very WRONG and UNTRUE. Maybe you do not understand what is meant by light weapons. Light weapons are;

-Pistols
-Light Machine guns
-Sniper rifles
-Assault rifles, etc.

Surely, the above list is not what Denel put much of their focus on and if I put it on estimation that would probably be around 8% of their overall exports.

Denel land system produces heavy artillery weapons, IFV, tanks, heavy military trucks, etc while the Aviation division put much of their focus on Missiles, UAV, Helicopters and Air Fighters. The Rheinmetall Denel Munitions in Potchefstroom focuses more into producing variety of powerful bombs and anti-tank mines. There are many division in Denel for which some I do not even know about.

As for the list above; Cheetah, Orynx, Rooivalk and Olifant tank are proudly South African products built by Denel. What is wrong of using an already prepared product as a model to design yours? It has happened in China, Japan, France, America, etc. Nobody came with a helicopter from heaven and every country made theirs by either copying the model or importing the skill by monetary exchange. All those products were build from scratch in SA and in respect of Rooivalk, SA had always flown it with an ordinary helicopter engine until it started showing defects. Denel never had the capability of designing the gunship engine and had to import the skill for upgrades from a french aviation company.

zetdee: Nigerians and their empty chest beating, here are the top young millionares in Africa, as can be seen East and South Africans dominate the list.

Before reaching the age of 40, ten African
entrepreneurs are among the top
millionaires in Africa. While in their 20s
and 30s, many of the young entrepreneurs
launched multi-million dollar companies
after dropping out of school, quitting their
jobs, or because Africa was in need of such
business. Both male and female, here are
ten successful young Africans who are
running top businesses in Africa.

Mohammed Dewji, Tanzania, 38
Mohammed Dewji is the CEO and primary
shareholder of one of East Africa’s largest
industrial conglomerates in East Africa
known as Mohammed Enterprise Limited
(METL). Dewji’s father, Gualm Dewji,
founded METL as a trading company.
Gualm passed the torch onto his son who
was responsible for transforming the
conglomerate from a trading house to an
industrial power company. Based on the
company website, the METL Group
represents a business with a diverse
interest in trading, agriculture,
manufacturing, energy and petroleum,
financial services, and other businesses.
The company employs over 20,000
employees and generates an annual
turnover of $2 billion dollars.

Igho Sanomi, Nigeria, 38
Since 2004, Igho Sanomi has been founder
of the Nigerian trading company, the
Taleveras Group. The Taleveras Group
offers solutions in energy, power, and
construction services. Before founding the
Taleveras Group, Sanomi earned his
bachelor’s degree in geology and mining
and rose to the position of Executive
Director with Sarian Oil and Cosmos Oil
AG, an international oil trading company.
As Executive Director, he developed
trading operations and strategic alliances
with a major international oil trading
group in Switzerland. Now as the CEO of
the Taleveras Group, Sanomi turned the
company into an internationally
recognized energy and power
conglomerate that trades more than 100
million casks of oil and several million
heaps of gas, LPG, and jet fuel. The
company has offices in London, Geneva,
Cape Town, Dubai, Ivory Coast, Abuja, and
Lagos.

Quinton van der Burgh, South Africa,
36

Quinton van der Burgh Investments is an
investment holding company founded by
Quinton van der Burgh in 2008. The
company is an investment holding
company vested in coal mining and mining
equipment. Before Quinton van der Burgh
Investments, Van de Burgh headed the
family owned business, Burgh Group
Holdings, and began various other
businesses including Voda-Telle
International. Quinton van der Burgh and
the company have also launched two
reality television shows, Sharp Shooter
which is a South African reality show
featuring the world of photography and
Clifton Shores, an unscripted drama
featuring Van de Burgh about four
American girls who leave the US to live and
work in Clifton Beach, South Africa.

Gerald Wamalwa, Kenya, 38

After quitting his job as a civil engineer,
Gerald Wamalwa pursued his desire to
create his own business and founded
Mellech Engineering and Construction Ltd,
a construction and infrastructure
company focused on building projects,
roads, water, sewage projects, civil
engineering, and infrastructure projects.
Since launching East Africa’s primary
infrastructure and construction company,
he has increased staff from one employee
to over 30 earning a company gross of
over $11 million. Along with Mellech,
Wamalwa owns a Telecommunications
Service Company named ACP Telecoms
Ltd.

Sibongile Sambo, South Africa, 39
SRS Aviation, the first black female owned
aviation company, was founded and is
managed by Sibongile Sambo in 2004. SRS
offers professional and personalized flight
options to destinations all over the world.
It includes VIP Charter, tourist charter, and
helicopter services. At a young age, Sambo
had a desire to work with planes but the
air requirement for an air hostess
prevented her from doing so. However,
her dream to work with planes became a
reality with the passing of the Black
Economic Empowerment Act in 2003. The
passing of the act enabled people with
disadvantaged backgrounds to partake in
the economic world as entrepreneurs.
After her receiving family loans and work
experience, her very own airline company
was born. Now, according to Forbes, SRS is
a great success and makes an annual
revenue of several million dollars.

Khanyi Dhlomo, South Africa, 38
In the year of 2007, Khanyi Dhlomo
founded Ndalo Media, a 50-50 joint
venture with Media 24. Media 24 is the
publishing arm of Africa’s largest media

The Africa Channel’s weekly news series,
Africa Journal. At age 20, Dhlomo’s began
her career in television while she was still a
student at the University of Witwatersrand.
She was a news presenter at the television
station owned by the South African

popular South African women’s magazines,
True Love. It was then that she founded
Ndalo Media. Ndalo Media produced
several publications including Destiny and
Destiny Man, popular South African
lifestyle magazines, Sawubona, an in-flight
magazine for South Africa Airways, as well
as online publications,
DestinyConnect.com and DestinyMan.com
which have become South Africa’s fastest
growing social networks for entrepreneurs
and businesspeople. Along with her
publications, Dhlomo owns Luminance, a
high end fashion and lifestyle concept
store in South Africa.

Patrick Ngowi, Tanzania, 28
Patrick Ngowi is the founder of Tanzania’s
leading solar brand, Helvetic Solar. Helvetic
Solar supplies, installs, and maintains all
types of solar power and thermal systems
in Tanzania and East Africa. Ngowi’s million
dollar business started with a small loan
from his mother. Ngowi began by selling
Chinese mobile phones. While selling
phones, he discovered Tanzanians craved
any access to stable and reliable electricity.
Helvetic Solar was then created and has
attracted clients such as the United
Nations, World Vision, and the Tanzanian
Army. Ngowi also provides basic lighting
services to the rural poor in Tanzania
through his Light for Life foundation.

Ken Njoroge, Kenya, 37
In 2004, Celluant was founded by Ken
Njoroge and his friend, Goke Akinboro.

that manages, delivers, and bills for digital
content and commerce services. Njoroge
had a vision to create Celluant after
quitting his studies in pharmacy opting for
a degree in information systems
management. His vision was to create a

Africa and by Africans. Njoroge did just
that with revenues of over $120 million in

million dollar computer fixing company,
Dial-A-Nerd. With the help from family and
friends, Thornton raised $1,000 (R5, 000)
to promote his company with flyers and
other promotional materials. From there,
Dial-A-Nerd has grown to be a company of
technicians who can repair, build, upgrade
or even replace PCs at customers’
premises. Dial-A-Nerd earns an annual
revenue of $10 million.

Alan Knott-Craig Jr., South Africa, 36
Based in Stellenbosch, Western Cape South
Africa, World of Avatar is a multi-million
dollar business founded by Alan Knott-
Craig Jr. As the son of the former CEO of

companies that help improve lives and
build communities using mobile devices.
World Avatar acquired MXit that now has
over 20 million users, and also has

NATIONAL DEFENCE COLLEGE SET TO GRADUATE PARTICIPANTS FROM 11 FOREIGN ARMED FORCES, 120 NIGERIANS ; 2014 INTAKE TO INCLUDE OFFICERS FROM 18 FOREIGN COUNTRIES INCLUDING INDIA, PAKISTAN AND BANGLADESH

Nigeria’s apex military institution, the National Defence College (NDC), Abuja, will next week turn out 131 officers, including 11 foreigners, so far the highest number of graduates since it
began operations with 30 participants 21 years ago (1992).

The 11 foreigners are from Benin Republic, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Gabon, Ghana, Niger, Togo, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Brazil. The remaining 120 participants, all Nigerians, are from the Army (50), Navy (35), Air Force (24), two each from the Nigerian Police and Department of State Security and another seven from strategic federal establishments.

The NDC Commandant, Rear Admiral
Thomas Jonah Lokoson, told journalists in Abuja Thursday that the College would
expand the intake of foreign participants in its next Course (22) to 18. He said ‘They will come from African
countries, India, Bangladesh and Pakistan and in the the 2014 Course (23), a participant is expected from the United States of America.

Admiral Lokoson said that the foreign
participants are “a means of strengthening the cordial bilateral
relations that already exist between
Nigeria and each of the participating
countries.” He added that participants are usually tutored extensively on the constitutional role of the military under civilian rule and the virtues of military subordination to civil authority.’Graduates are expected to remain resolutely focused on improving professionalism in their respective
Services and never to be allowed to be
used as instruments of disservice and
disloyalty to our nation’s democracy.”

The fact that you single us out for special mention means that we have hurt your feelings.

Mike..ZA:
Get this to your head: Nigeria has no experience whatsoever in conventional warfare. It would be fair to suggest that this, country(Nigeria) can struggle to defeat another country. Regarding you saying that the Special task force, has no current "success". They arrest a bunch Congolese man,in Limpopo last year planning to overthrow the DRC government. And i will say this again: Ni-gay-ria can't go on an all out conventional warfare, against another country. Cause that would cause a security vacuum, for insurgents to destroy your country from the inside.
You are FOOLISH, you smelly gay. Now that you've seen that your SAPS are a bunch of clowns, youre diverting the police arguement to military. IDIOTA!
