We are busy speaking about the killing of people and you are whining on and on about killing of animals for which I am not going to shed any tears for them. Let me shed some light on this issue, poaching is not a security threat but cruelty to animals which are almost facing the phase of extinction. It was also suggested in many ways that poaching is as a result of some corrupt game rangers and veterinary surgeons who work together to help Asians with vital information and easy access. Poaching is a syndicate crime.

blah blah blah blah blah.... first you claimed your military is not involved and now you want to cover your exposed behind by claiming it's not a security threat.
so if it's not a security threat, why is your military involved? why did US special forces with war experience come to your rescue?

typical south africans. you get caught and start giving excuses. bunch of hypocrites

The retired US special forces volunteered to transfer their skills on a newly formed South African National Park (SANpark special forces) and Anti-poaching squad.

I repeat, poaching is not a national security threat, but merely a crime. No wonder SANDF is not deploying its troops in full force.

Since when killing of animals become national security threat? It seems as if your fake 100% Nigerian brain cannot work for you to help you with classification of security. Rhinos are not human and we are only keeping them because we love them and feel that they deserve to live. Poaching of rhinos has been happening all around the world until all population of rhinos outside SA become extinct. SA has over 80% of rhinos in the world.

is this supposed to be a joke or what
if SANDF knew how to do the job, shouldn't they be the ones transferring the skills to anti-poaching squad?

guy you are a fvcking shameless liar. SANDF is fully deployed to fight poachers and so far they lost many men and a helicopter. i posted that earlier.

keep fooling yourselves. so one of your biggest source of revenue and natural resources is threatened and you say it's not a national threat. you are an ignorant slob. i even seem to know more about your country than you grin

Rhino poaching: National security threat
The GRAA called on President Jacob Zuma and the South African government to fully acknowledge the onslaught that rangers are facing while they attempt to protect not only South Africa’s rhino but its natural heritage in general.

According to the association the situation has escalated from an environmental issue to one of national security.

I do not know how do you classify security there in Nigeria, but in SA we do not classify rhino poaching as national security threat since poachers are not targeting humans but rhinos.

have you asked yourself why boko haram has not affected our economy after 3 years, we kept growing?

now ask yourself if your tourism sector is badly hit(cause i know those poachers will move to killing other animals), won't it hit your economy badly? as tourism is also a huge revenue earner for SA. you don't have sense

by the way our military is killing boko haram everyday and yours are busy smoking hashish in the bushes while poachers continue to threaten your interest.

South Africa sends in the army to stop rhino poaching in the Kruger

'We have declared war on poachers' says Minister Sisulu

April 2011. The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) had been asked by South African National Parks (SANParks) to play a strategic role in the protection of South African National Parks, especially the Kruger National Park. The SANDF deployed to the Kruger where the park borders with Mozambique and Zimbabwe at the beginning of April 2011.

We do not care about your economy, all we care about is the killing of people. Who knows that your economy could have been growing double the rate is growing if it were not because of terrorist activities unleashed.

if it's not full scale, why were special forces, drones, helicopters etc deployed?

List of soldiers killed by Boko Haram in July:

Imbec1le using Naai-gerian standards on South Africa.

Likely insurgencies in South Africa would not be allowed to grow to "full scale" insurgencies, as you put it. It's in Naai-geria where incompetence in leadership breeds insurgencies.

South Africa is not a ghetto, like Naai-geria.

The police have dealt competently with issues of that nature, previously. Mere police work has proved sufficient. If South Africa had BH, it never works have grown. Don't think your standards of incompetence and indecisiveness in leadership apply to everyone.

Your comment is mute and therefore, dead.
