Mike..ZA: south african air force air crash history is far worse than that of nigeria, you have crashed every jet fighter your air force ever purchases. reason why your Gripen and Hawk jets have not crashed is because you hardly fly them, most are frozen in storage or grounded. over 120 south african air force jet fighters crashed in 50 years including foolish mid-air jet to jet head on collisions in broad day light. are south african pilots blind like bats ? is it only at night your air force pilots can see ? At least 56 members of the terrorist organisation, Boko Haram, have been killed in Nigeria’s northeast after soldiers launched an air and ground attack on the terrorists’ hideout on Saturday, the military said. The acting spokesman of the 7 Division of the Nigeria Army, Aliyu Danja, said in a statement that the military operations took place on December 28; and also involved the destruction of the terrorist’s weapons, equipment and vehicles. Mr. Danja’s statement said, “The troops of the 7 Division Nigerian Army supported by the Nigerian Air force launched an intense attack on Boko Haram elements in Alfa general area of Bama Local Government, killing 56 insurgents while two soldier were wounded in the operations.” The Army said the attack was part of the ongoing operations conducted by the military to ensure a peaceful Christmas and New Year celebrations in Borno State. “The General officer Commanding 7 Division of the Nigerian Army Major General Obidah Ethan felicitates with good people of Borno State and urged them to assist the military with useful information,” Mr. Danja, whose statement was corroborated in a separate one by the defence headquarters, said. In a similar development, the defence headquarters said troops of the Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) foiled an attempt by terrorists who were massing up on an island on Lake Chad with a view to carrying out an attack on some Nigerian communities. Seven of the terrorists died while others fleeing in different direction towards Niger and Chad Republic are being trailed by troops. The spokesperson of the Nigerian military, Chris Olukolade, said some wounded terrorists were seen paddling away towards Chad Republic in a canoe. “Intelligence reports have confirmed that some of the wounded terrorists were seen in a canoe paddling towards Tumbun Telkandam in Chad Republic,” Mr. Olukolade, a Major General, said. A state of emergency is currently on in Borno State (as well as Adamawa and Yobe) as the military tries to dislodge the outlawed Boko Haram. 1 Like |

agaugust: Joke of the season! Joke of the year 2014, which doubles up as an April foôls thingie-mabob for April 1, 2014 already. You can up the number of casualties to 100, if you like. When we wake up tomorrow; and the day after; and the day after; and the day after, Boko Haram will be here. No victory shall be declared. Not in this decade. Live with it. Your guns and weak propaganda will never win this for you. Brains, which you unfortunately don't have, might get you in with a chance. |

"Overrun!" says the article. Embrace your reputation as the military that let terrorists overrun its base, in its home country, at the peak of the most important mission in the military's existence, this side of history. A mission for the survival of the nation. Losers, who clearly "is mos vas in die slaap" at the wheel. No amount of propaganda will change this. Naai-gerian military. And that will keep being pointed out. Repeatedly. This is the problem with Naai-geria. Rushing to talk about things that don't matter. drag_on:Maybe you're misunderstanding the term "conventional warfare",SANDF+TDF fought a conventional warfare style battles with the M23. Which possessed tanks, artillery, mortars, vehicles,AA guns,MRLS and other chinese rockets. Your army has never seen no action. SPINELESS army that has never fired counter battery artillery strikes. |

Mike..ZA: you are a very funny cow. you call fighting a weak rebel group of less than 5000 men, no anti aircraft missiles and AA guns, less than 10 tanks, no IFV, no aircraft nor helicopter, no standard artillery a conventional warfare? madness is really abundant in SA. what's your own excuse? are you seeing demons too? you are indeed a gameboy. agaugust:You wanna measure victory by the number of equipment that was captured?.....South African captured many T-55 MBTs that the South African army is still using today as practice targets+Chinese rocket launchers the special forces are still using this ones+ Advanced SAM systems+RPGs(in great numbers). Tiny Cuba defeated the USA. South Africa made them realise that prolonging the war was gonna be costly in blood and fought on divisional scale when they called up 140 000 soldiers. |

Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 8:43am On Dec 31, 2013 |
na_chris_be_dis:M23 had AA guns. what was used to fire at the UN helicopters?..They even had the praga. M23 had more than ten tanks 4 of them were destroyed by Tanzanian artillery(D30) strikes. Is a fact that Nigeria has never battled an enemy well armed like M23. Now here's definition of conventional warfare: OPENLY CONFRONTING THE FOE------» "Conventional warfare is a form of warfare conducted by using conventional military weapons and battlefield tactics between two or more states in open confrontation. The forces on each side are well-defined, and fight using weapons that primarily target the opposing army.".....5000-6000 is a brigade. |

Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 9:02am On Dec 31, 2013 |
Mike..ZA: show us a list form a reliable source that counted all the M23 Rebel weapons and armoury you just listed above. show us proof and the numbers of those weapons, plus their operational capability and combat readiness of the 'miraculous' equipment you just claimed for M23 Rebels. Boko Haram is better equipped than M23 Rebels, and better fighters. Boko Haram fired anti-aircraft guns on nigerian Alpha Jets and Mi-35 Hind helicopters, M23 Rebels were dunce dumbo's that never fired a single shot against all UN Mi-35 helicopters gunships of India and Ukraines air forces that have been attacking M23 for over a year now....M23 is poorly armed. By the way, UN especially Ukraine and Indian air forces helicopter gunships the Mi-35 Hinds plus Tanzanian Army D-30 Artillery already cut off the head and life of M23 before South African helicopters, artillery, or soldiers ever came to Congo DRC combat zone to fire one single shot, your military was called in to join the fight against a half dead M23 rebel group. did i hear you say south africa fought conventional warfare against M23 rebels ? you are mad and all your village is mad ! you that posted here few months a go that Nigeria has never fought any conventional war because Biafra is just a rebel force. Biafra has over 100,000 soldiers, M23 has about 5,000 soldiers. Biafra had an air force with warplanes from Super Tucano type of COIN attack aircraft to huge B-26 Invader Bombers, and European ex-airforce pilots from Sweden and other European countries fly Biafran air force war planes bombing nigeria regularly. M23 rebels have no single aircraft. now you say Biafra war is not conventional war while M23 Rebels war in Congo is conventional war. nigeria fought the biggest conventional war ever in african history. now i know you are a complete mad man that cannot be cured, the dada hair on your head will grow back in one week even if the psychiatrist should cut it, because you are really mad, i mean mad !!! agaugust: Schoolboy tactics. You demand a source, which means you don't know anything about M23's arms. And then you foôlishly shout at the top of your voice - and claim that Boko Haram are better equipped. Based on what? You have just admitted that you know nothing about M23's arms. You have no point of reference. You are a bumbling idîot. You don't have any sources yourself - to support the above. All your pronouncements. Rubbish. GIGO. Garbage in Naai-gerian's brain. Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 9:11am On Dec 31, 2013 |
agaugust:What's the combat radius of the F7 jet? How many AAM it carries?. Don't be ignorant and arrogant here you poes. Nigeria should get a REAL fighter jet,the F7 jet is for power countries like Zimbabwe,Namibia and Tanzania not for a regional power. Yes,you can operate it but you must have other fighters like Egypt,Sudan,Pakistan and your masters China are doing. As 2014 approaches SAAF must be happy that its AAM stocks will be replenished by the advanced 5th generation A-Darter missile.

Mike..ZA: it's funny how well you defined it. but yet deny Nigeria ever fought one. when Liberia, biafra, SL, chad, Cameroon should be case studies. like I said, you are just a baseless noise maker. all talk and no truth. that's the definition of a south aftican 1 Like |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 9:16am On Dec 31, 2013 |
Mike..ZA: since your own definition above says conventional warfare is between two states/nations, then is M23 Rebel force a nation ? Biafra is a nation with a head of state, national currency, international recognition by France, South Africa, Israel, and many others, a separate economy, banking sector, university, law/legal system and judiciary, etc. now you have finally shot yourself in the foot on the issue of nigeria not having ever fought a conventional war, because Biafran war qualifies, but M23 war does NOT qualify as conventional. see. mad man, Biafra will wipe out M23 rebels in 6 hours, i mean six hours of battle from 8 AM to 2 PM, you hear me ? fool ! . 1 Like |
