I learnt that some people have been refused visa bc of saying their partner is in the UK. Pls house how can he convince the ECO, that he is only visiting and will not overstay bc of his wife. Hang on. If he is paid 800k monthly in Nigeria, he must be experienced enough to apply for a job from Nigeria, he doesn’t need to come here to apply and IT is part of shortage list. The only problem is this might take time.

Another way would be the T1 route. He seems to be rich, he should check what he needs to sponsor himself through the T1 route (Technation visa).

Middle name is not necessary if it’s not shown on documents. Not all documents include middle name.

As far as it’s not letter head it’s fine. You don’t even need it stamped if it’s a UK bank. They can easily call and verify the authenticity of the bank statement if they need to.

The stamping madness is mostly needed when it’s a Nigerian bank account because they can’t trust the authenticity easily.

Yeah I do this yearly, I call them and say I got a cheaper quote somewhere else. 9 out of 10 they will ask you how much have u been quoted. That’s where I enter them and we begin the negotiations. It works

Yes ur insurance is still valid for 12months but they have squeezed ur quote into 10 months making it seem like you have last 2 months free

It is cheaper to pay in full than pay monthly. You can use 0% APR credit card to pay and then make monthly payment to repay the credit card.

It is only six months payslips they require . They will use your six months to calculate not 8 months as I was told

Ok.just had a look at the guidance document. It is 69 pages so no power to read it in details this early morning..

But I think you are right and probably good to go regarding using 6 month to calculate what the annual income might be . Based on 16k in 6 months would mean like 32k annual salary which is over the 18k.

However make sure you read that guidance and absolutely sure that it's ok to proceed

Depending on the dev language he's proficient in, he would probably make the same money he already makes in Nigeria here working part time during study and he's almost guaranteed to get a job post study that would probably lead to sponsorship.

I work in the industry and know how easy it is to extend an offer and hope the person starts before getting a better offer elsewhere.
