FUTO Student Shot Dead by Emyres: 9:56am On Nov 13, 2017
Information reaching our news desk have it that a FUTO student, the former
FMT 300 Level Course Rep, was shot dead last night by yet to be identified
men.
It is a huge loss to the school and to the family of the deceased.
The cause of the death is yet to be ascertained.
NB: FUTO is currently writing her second semester examination for the
2016/2017 session.

He was shot dead, but why he was shot is yet to be ascertained.

Then you should have said the cause or reason for the shooting is yet to be ascertained. The cause of death is very certain, he was shot dead!!
