Adekunle Gold who is Simi's known boo took to twitter to praise her after she won the 'Songwriter of the year' award at Afrima with tweet that read 'Simi that can write 10 songs on one beat. No on esle coulda won it tbh. well deserved'.

Simi responded saying,
