The CEO of IPC homes takes all his staff to holiday abroad on yearly basis.

This year it was at Singapore. He shared his views and experience on this year's trip

Of all the things I saw in Singapore, this for me is the most profound. "We built a nation" a statement at the entrance of the National Museum and Yes they did! They built a nation with literally no resources, absolutely nothing but their brains. They dont even have sand to build with. They import sand for construction, they import dirty water to purify for drinking, the odds against them were great yet they turned around every little disadvantage in their favour not because they prayed but because they used their brains.

Their passport today is the strongest in the world and their economy is super solid and their currency is super strong. Nigeria should have a museum with our ruling elite posing around the statement saying " We Ruined a Nation" because they did!

Well the sign did not say the rulers built a nation. The sign says "We".

For as long as Nigerians - the common man, dissociates himself from the wreckage, from the corruption whilst berating only the elite, I'm sorry but nothing good will come out of the Nation.

The onus of nation building falls on the entire citizenry. No one is too great or too small to contribute to its growth or its death.

As long as you connive with customs officers, give or take bribes, effect a change of your results by inducing lecturers and authorities with money or your body, as long as you are a religious leader or follower expecting billions from an individual for your building fund whilst ignoring the source and human capital development, as long as you are a partaker of the proceeds of crime, you are part and parcel of the Nigerian problem.

Spare us the platitudes and be a change to your society.

Nigeria needs a wholistic change in the orientation of the common man. Only then can the leaders, who emanate from the common people direct a positive change.
