Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium have been infested with rats and officials are battling to deal with the issue.

It was gathered that council hygiene inspectors had raised an alarm after their visit to the north London club.

The inspectors had found ‘extensive evidence of mouse activity’ across ‘all four levels of the stadium.'

According to reports from England, mouse droppings were found under and behind ovens, under pipework in pot wash areas and under shelving units.

Staff at the North London side’s ground were unaware of the development with the officials using torchlight to show them the droppings.

The report of the hygiene inspectors 'criticizes a lack of cleaning.'

Another cause of the mouse problem is the canalside location of the Emirates.

The club is now forced to improve on mouse proofing and to eliminate the chance of access to food and water for the pest.
